This one has me in a bind because Westbrook might be my least favorite player in the history of the game. Completely boneheaded, defensive sieve and the propensity to collapse on his team in the playoffs continually due to poor decision making and letting players get under his skin.
But, I also can't stand Harris and Russ at the very least is off that toxic contract a year earlier.
I also think Russ could do some things if the team were him and Joel and 3 shooters lineup. Utilize him like Ben, grabbing boards running the break and finding shooters. Russ can slash a bit from the perimeter and is an okay facilitator even though his turnover rate is absurd.
Not sure if this is a grass is greener scenario, but I'd consider it. More boom / bust potential here.
Even John Wall too actually, what are Houston doing with him... Harris could be a good leader for those kids and Wall wants to play.
Wall I would definitely do. Westbrook might be one of the few players in the league where I'd actually have to think about it, as I agree with you on him, but the one less year would make me do that one, too.
For all his negatives, Westbrook's game still fits here better than Tobias. The problem would be the lack of lineups that might work with him. You're certainly not going to have him on the floor with Thybulle and Drummond.
