Hard to take anything concrete out of these glorified G league games but I think Harden is back

Maybe not peak Harden, but he has that confidence and bounce in the step again

Agreed. When Harden plays like this, along with decent role players, any team becomes deadly. The way Harden is running the ship right now reminds of the Rockets in 18-19. Granted they had CP3 but he was injured for stretches. Harden is pure gold with vision and putting other players in good position to score.

I still dont trust the results since this omicron phase has thrown all norms and conventions out the window, I mean Jevon Carter was looking pretty playable today out there. Not trusting it until further evidence.

But this is definitely the best Harden has looked this season.

An underrated part of the supporting cast this season besides the increased defense and hustle is passing and cutting/slashing ability.

Patty, JJ, Bembry in particular are all willing and capable passers to differing degrees. JJ and Bembry are also very good at cutting off the ball at key times and are good at finishing at the rim.

Their IQ to play around starts is also evident. They recognize their limitations and play to their strengths(for the most part) and just make smart plays all the time. It's a clear upgrade to Shamet, TLC, Mike James/Chiozza etc. Heck for as great Uncle Jeff was, he's not the best passer or cutter(he brought other attributes obvi and I'd take him any day over Millsap). Also the rookies, especially Kessler and DDJ fit this mold as well, which is exciting for the future.

I can really see the vision of sacrificing shooting a tiny bit for more of the little things that is needed to fill in the gaps next to 3 superstars. Just need the team to be whole for it to be put on full display.

Clippers are actually a good defensive team but we are getting anything we want right now, it almost makes me think we've gone back to last season.
