Turner is shooting 39% from three and racks 2 blocks a game. How does he not move the needle?

Because he is a poor mans aldridge. the blocks are nice, but overall his defense is nuetral to negative. ask pacers fans, they have wanted to dump him for a while. Sabonis is the guy you want

I'm not keen on the Turner/Aldridge comparison, but I agree that Myles is more sizzle than steak. Joel openly talks about how much he enjoys dominating him in head to head matchups, Giannis has had similar success. Blake is a better defender against those guys than Turner, as odd and unlikely as that sounds.

both turner and aldridge are strictly pick and pop players with no other real means to score. Alrdidge has some back to the basket game. neither is a roll man. offensively aldridge does everything better. with the new rules making it so you dont need to switch, im not sure how much better, if at all turner is defensively. and he isnt really a better rebounder.

im not sure how turner fits in here. would he start? i doubt it over aldridge.

I'm going to have to update my top 5 under 25.

1- Luka
2- Spida
3- Tatum
4- Trea
5- Ja

Tatum's game dipped past two years. Whatever it is, dude keep regressing.

Biid I a monster. I guess we do have good D.

This is huge. Tsai already expressed desire to legalize gambling at Barclays.

I've been watching some Laker games here and there but God damn they hitting rock bottom on all cylinders. This is all happening with LBJ scoring 30+ pts while playing 38 min. It's bad out there, both GM and coach going to be fired, no way around it.

Paul george out a month,we play them twice in a week.

Tommorow we play them with no george and they are on the second of a back to back (vs. denver tonight). while we are on the road, no travel for us since we just played the lakers.

Next saturday we play them again with no george. and they are again on the second of a back to back only this time on the road playing the raps on the friday. Nets will be home, and playing only their second game in 6 days.

Those are to gift gimmie wins.

Our next 15 games are very favorable:

@clips (they are on second of back to back, no PG)

vs. 76ers (no green, milton, drummond, maxey)

vs clips (clips 2nd of back to back on the road, no pg)

vs Griz (griz 2nd of back to back on the road)

@pacers (they suck)

vs bucks (statement game?)

vs spurs (spurs 5th game of road trip, 3rd game in 4 days)

@ bulls (Kyrie's return? if so should be a blowout win)

vs thunder (they suck)

vs pelicans (they suck)

@ cavs (cavs on a back to back + kyrie will play)

@ wiz (they stink + kyrie will play)

@ spurs (back to back + kyrie will play)

@ wolves (Kyrie will play)

Kanter is dog whistling coward. LeBron said he saw Kanter the other day and dude walked right by him and didn't say a word

Stupidly-late reply, but it's a ridiculous thing to say by Kanter. JLin isn't remotely in a position in which he can safely call out the CCP. If you're Chinese-affiliated, you have to be in a very distanced, secure position to open up that can of backlash, like safe inside Taiwan, or in a position of wealth & power somewhere else in the world. Even Joe Tsai, as disappointing as it is, would have a rocky ride with that kind of thing.

For someone like Jeremy Lin, it probably wouldn't play out much differently from that Chinese Tennis player who accused the high-ranking guy of raping her. First house arrest, then forced to completely disavow it all.

Your overall take is a bit optimistic for my taste given the uncertain near-term future of our roster, but I can't really quibble.

The winnability and favorable timing (our rest vs opponent rest) of this portion of the schedule is part of why I predicted before the season started, that we would go undefeated in January. I don't expect a perfect month anymore, but the path is clear to put some distance in between us and Milwaukee in the W-L column.

Yeah, tis all TBD. but we are coming out of protocol while other teams are entering it. plus kyrie in a month with a bunch of road games helps. we can jugle the 3-stars and play some trashcan teams too

end of January, we have a 5 game road set where we will play GS, PHO, SAC, UTAH, and DEN.

If we can take 3 of those games, the league will be officially on notice.

Was a bad move for them to begin with... They chased names instead of fit.

I bet DeAndre latches on somewhere before the season ends as an insurance big...

The irony going to be if he's back with us next year as a 3rd string big. Not out of realm.
