Capella? Poeltl?

Bobby missed time to start the season, that's the only reason his value stats aren't there yet. His rate stats are outstanding, and there's real value in his floor spacing.

However, what's really funny is that you think we have a crisis at center only weeks after proclaiming Boogie is a superstar.

If you think Capella and Poeltl are outlandish with their defensive prowess you've been living under a rock. It's really that simple. These advanced numbers outside of TPA are largely rate statistics, so your assertion that those value numbers aren't there because of his minutes played demonstrates a misunderstanding. Not like that's a new thing. Nevermind that a lot of players have missed time so his minutes played number as an excuse? It doesn't track.

Oh, and there's the straw man, no wait, TWO of them. When on earth did I say there was a crisis at center? When on earth did I proclaim Boogie was a superstar? Much like your assertion that Bobby is a top 10 center, your continuing to be dishonest just makes you a clown.

Bobby could be Brook's replacement. His game is on another level this year. It's in the scrapping for boards, hustling, *craftiness on offense & even smoother stroke.

He's dedicated to getting better. His IQ & game will only improve with all of the guys on this team.

Love Bobby, and I hope he cashes in but I just disagree that he’s the long term answer in the frontcourt with Giannis. They need a shot blocking presence to anchor the D and someone they can funnel to.

Shot blockers are fairly irrelevant in today's basketball as they rarely get to stay near the hoop. The drop defense is dead.

Are we not also ignoring what Giannis is capable of?

LOLOLOL.

The allusion to shotblocking being irrelevant because the drop defense is dead is particularly hilarious. Shot blocking exists in the game separate of scheme. It's Jaguar's Fan that I even have to say that. It takes a special kind of ignorance to say that shotblocking is irrelevant when you've watched Giannis and Brook for three full seasons.

Giannis isn't a shot blocker, he's a transcendent defender.

Yes, if we can add another all time superstar, I'm all for it. Do we really need to add that qualifier to any discussion? A tall stiff who lacks the agility to defend the pick and roll? No thanks, and that's what we're really talking about here.

What's interesting is that you continue to pretend like your a basketball expert after screaming all last season that the Bucks weren't a contender. How'd that turn out?

It's confusing that you continue to hurl insults at me. Do you think this adds to your argument? Do you think you have earned enough credibility that your approval is important to me?

It's not. I'll continue to discuss basketball with the many interesting hoops fans here while you scream at the clouds. Have fun.

Part of what makes Giannis a transcendent defender, and a BIG part of it, is his ability to cover ground and block shots. It's his help defense, NOT his man defense that makes him so impactful. He is literally a rim protector.

But no. You have an ENORMOUS problem with straw men or your reading comprehension. Take a pick. It's actually getting pathetic. You just keep sticking arguments in that haven't been made (not even remotely touched upon actually). We're talking about a "tall stiff that lacks the agility to defend the pick and roll?" Wtf are you even talking about? NOBODY said that except for you. Much like me never saying that there was a "crisis at center" or "Boogie was a superstar" or me actually using rate statistics BEFORE you tell me that rate based statistics tell a different story.

This is just you throwing more crap at the wall, hoping nobody calls you on it, and deflecting with straw men and ignorance when you are. Have to scream at the clouds though, it's where your heads clearly at.

New, somewhat random name. Daniel Gafford.

Anyone in to him?

I don’t want to waste Giannis by having him as the Bucks’ primary paint protector.

It's his destiny in the playoffs, like early Duncan before he went full time C. Bobby and Cousins are there to take hits during the regular season from Jonas, Nurk etc. Cousins can soak up some Embiid minutes and the like, Bobby can play some PF next to Giannis. Would be nice to have another big to cover Brook but I wouldn't pay for one.
