You all know what needs to be done......deep down in your hearts. You know who we need to move to take the next step. Feel it. Breathe. Just breathe. This is the way.

Wall and Smart in the starting lineup won’t work! We need shooters to play with the Jays. Wood can fit with them!

Horford, Schroder, Juancho and PP for Bledsoe, Ibaka and Kennard.
This team desperately needs some shooting and Kennard's a top 10 3 point shooter.

We either trade Brown for Dame or get Beal to sign here. None of this sideways trade crap that all you guys are proposing.

Just trade Jaylen for the best return we can get. 36 shot attempts and 0 assists. The ball dies with him and he’s shown no willingness to improve. It sounds like Al’s been trying to encourage ball movement and he refuses to look in the mirror.

Hard to get an assist when no one else makes a shot either.
Really hoping the embarrassment of the last two games gets Jaylen to change his mindset though. Have a strong feeling he will just triple down though.

I’m sure that’s what he’ll tell himself as he continues to get us beat.

Re: Last Train to Celticsville Trade Thread
Trading Brown is still not the right answer. It just isn't. The stars you could swap him for just don't make sense:
Beal- having a worse year than Jaylen/getting the max
Lillard- too old to pair with Tatum/having a down year
Simmons- not even playing
Sabonis- in my opinion just not good enough to swap
Fox- having a down year/plays no defense
It'd be crazy to trade him for parts like what GSW would offer or any other team because in 6 months time you'll just be looking to re-package those pieces to try and find a player of Brown's caliber.
The issue here is roster construction and coaching. Ime has to get these guys to play the right way and we need other guys to step up to validate TEAM basketball to our stars who try to carry us on their back despite not being able to do so.
The ONLY Brown trade I've seen recently that I'd consider has us landing both Beal and Simmons.
It was something like
BOS: Beal, Simmons, Bertans
WAS: Maxey, Horford, Nesmith, 3 firsts, 3 swaps from Boston
PHI: Brown, Dinwiddie, Schroder
There were more bodies involved to get the money to match, but that was the general idea.
Basically Philly finally adds Maxey to Simmons to end the Simmons drama but gets Brown and some vet PGs to compete. Washington goes full rebuild with Maxey and a bunch of picks/swaps (probably have to kick more kids like PP and/or Langford too), tank this year, get off longer term money with Bertans. And C's go with a Beal/Simmons/Tatum core for the next 3-5 years.
I'm not overly enamoured with it and I feel like Philly would balk at trading Maxey and Simmons, Wizards will not want to take package centered around C's picks, but this is the ONLY deal I've seen with Brown that I'd entertain (probably because it's unrealistic).
I know this year is painful, but not every year is going to be fun. You can't throw the baby out with the bathwater. These are growing pains for young stars, pain is in the name, it is what it is.

Re: Last Train to Celticsville Trade Thread
I said it in the last thread and I'll say it again after this abysmal shooting display last night. This team needs shooting and until they acquire it, we will be mediocre, inconsistent & will not get the best out of the Jay's as we try to turn them into playmakers.
Before any trade proposal, ask yourself, does this give us more shooting?
Yes: okay let's take a look.
No: DONT EVEN BOTHER.

Keep Brown and Tatum. Everyone else is up for grabs. Start adding shooters at all positions. Shooting needs to be the priority, not defense and switching.

Re: Last Train to Celticsville Trade Thread
Ready to trade Brown. He completely dismissing Al comments rubbed me the wrong way.
