Siakim, Dragi for Allen and Love

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Pascal, but fit wise he might not be what this team needs. One of our biggest issues is defense at the 5. Allen fits perfectly for our team. Given that Cavs have MObley and he will be groomed to be their future 5. Adding Pascal at the 4 is a great fit for Cleveland. Nurse likes having bigs that can shoot the 3. Who better than a rejuvanated KLove. I get the contract situation sucks, but I think a couple of draft picks could resolve that issue:

Pascal
Dragic
Birch

for

Allen
Love
future 1st round pick (lotto protected), and future 2nd.

People might be why take on the salary, well our cap situation going into next season will still be over the cap. So carry KLove for one more year doesn't really have a huge opportunity cost for us. The 2023/2024 season is more meaningful. At that time you have KLove, Fred and Trent all expiring, unless Fred and Trent exercise player options, which i think is a low probability.

Our starting 5 right away will be:

Fred - Flynn - Banton
Trent - Svia
OG - Champagnie
Barnes - Love - Watanabe
Allen - Achiuwa - Boucher

You can use the trade thread., but looks to be Vince Carter type of trade.

Allen isn't a star, Love has a bad contract, the 1st are going to be non-lottery with 3&D prospects. Meaning tanking for another 10 years and might as well trade Barnes?

I think we can get more from Siakam than that.

lol Cavs would be the ones who turn down this trade, not us.
Siakam plays the same position as their best player and makes a ton more than Allen, why in the world would they want him?

Thank goodness. This brilliance might’ve been buried in the trade thread with the stupid ideas, but here it is with its own thread and everything. We have to lock part 1 after 100 pages- will this be 3 parts, or 4?

Lol, what!! Why would we do this. And take on two years of Kevin Love just to dump Dragic? And give up Siakam for Allen? This is horrible and short about 2-3 firsts.

Meanwhile Cleveland clears 20 million in cap space and gets and gets an all-star (or near to) and can now move Mobley to Centre, and don't give up any picks moving Love? Why would they do this... gee, I don't know, because it's great for them?

Everyone here was making fun of the idea of going after Allen in free agency and even the contract he got but now say the Cavs are getting ripped off for him. Oh how quick things change lol
