Not a single person in here said they wish Randle got COVID. Yet some have expressed happiness to not see him burn their eyes and nose with the sight and smell of his garbage play, for at least a few games. We happy to see Obi get some extended burn too. You mad dramatic.



I don’t believe they are as effective as they’re being marketed and promoted. But I’m in a tiny minority.

But you and the overwhelming majority swear by them and have the data to back it up, right? So I’m championing the party line. Randle will be good, right? According to you, your expertise, your degree etc. he should definitely fare better than Kyrie and Beal, right? And even with breakthrough cases, surely his symptoms should be minimized and not require hospitalization, right? So what you so worried about? You the one being inconsistent. Your hero will be fine.

Any vaccinated NBA player is placed in the health and safety protocols after testing positive for COVID-19 or receiving an inconclusive COVID-19 test result.

The unvaccinated people enter protocols if they are exposed however.

Julius will come back healthy in a week or so, there is no doubt in my mind about it. I actually think this break may do him much more good than bad.

For the Knicks it will be an interesting stretch, also in regards to Thibodeau. He has been very loyal to Randle. After the Kemba fiasco, has his judgement on Randle been right? Or is he wrong on this one as well? Will he finally play Obi 30+ minutes? Or is Taj now gonna get 30 minutes while Obi continues to get less than 20 ?

I'm not a Randle fan at all as his play has been extremely poor this season. However I do think that out of the despair resulting from Randle's regression along with his contract extension, some wish or expect from Obi much more than he can deliver. If he plays around 30 minutes during the upcoming games, I expect 14/7 type numbers out of him, not much more. Still I am looking forward to this stretch without Randle simply because some important issues will get (at least somewhat) addressed:

1) Can Obi handle playing big minutes and staying effective?
2) How does Barrett fare without Randle? Is he going to step up? Or are defenses going to focus more on him and diminish his lacking efficiency even further?
3) Kemba is going to have the complete green light and freedom now to construct the offense---what is he going to make out of it?

Overall I expect a much more free flowing and watchable offense---maybe even some slight improvement on defense. The ball movement should be much better. Overall I do not expect a huge difference in the outcome of games as I genuinely believe the talent level on this team is just too low to win games consistently. A team without a true all-star caliber player is only going to get that far.

However, if this team does all of a sudden show much improved efficiency, then things will get really spicy in that locker room---almost a nightmarish scenario for the coach and FO if you think about it. After almost everybody viewing the Kemba and Fournier signings as problematic or even clear cut mistakes---can you imagine what this situation may potentially turn into if the upcoming games suggest that this team is better off without Randle? It would look exremely poor on Thibodeau as well---after the Kemba benching and Kemba's eastern conference player of the week award already putting Thibodeau's judgement into question---the team doing better without Julius would likely put many more question marks on his judgement and also create an untenable situation in upcoming home games againt Randle.
