Terrible loss. Nash with a horrific coaching job.

I dont get the massive overplaying on Embiid both with lineups and with double teams. Embiid has shown time after time after time after time that he can score 40+ and not beat you. like him score 50. who cares. giving guys open threes isnt better and embiid isnt going to out-efficiency score KD and Harden over 48 minutes. especially when he gets gassed with high usage.

It sucks. we finally have an elite team and it doesnt matter because Nash makes it impossible to win a title with his coaching.

Based on nashs post game comments we will probably continue to see claxton/LMA.

Leaving Maxey and Curry free to score 42 points was absolutely moronic. I'm not sure what Nash was thinking here.

I don't know why Nash does stuff like this.

We always work best with KD at the 4. Two non shooters is just silly.

I don't mind experiments but it became clear well before half time that LMA and Claxton needed to be staggered and we needed more Bembry and Brown. Who cares what Embiid does, we needed to make sure Maxey, Curry, etc didn't get uncontested shots and we failed miserably at that.

I thought the line up was wrong. I didn’t like that KD has to run all over the court on defense chasing curry. That was stupid. I think LMA should start with either bembry or brown. And nic off the bench with Blake. As much as I would start nic instead of LMA. That’s not going to happen. But I think them both playing together was not a good combo. And Durant should not have been running around after curry all night.

I also think this was a easily winnable game had mills hit the normal shots he’s been making. He had an off night and it hurt the offense. No big deal.

Maxey hit his 3’s. Mills didn’t. Mills is one of the better consistent shooters but it was an off night. I guess the idea was to use Aldridge to body Embiid and Claxton to negate easier paint points but it didn’t work. We now know what I doesn’t work on this team. With Kyrie this game would be won. I still believe we will see him fully vaccinated come playoffs. Tough loss but not going to sweat it too much.

True. Is it just me or do we actually have an edge if we donot end up with home court advantage? Firstly, We are 10-7 at home and 13-3 on the road. We play far better on the road. Secondly, let’s say Kyrie can only play road games and donot get vaccinated. It literally means we are going to be even better on the road. Therefore, I would not mind if we play 4 road games in the playoffs against any team as long as we are fully healthy throughout. Of course, Kyrie getting vaccinated would be sweet but we need to prepare for the worst case scenario which is not the end of the world as discussed.

Anyway, Happy New Year to everyone. I hope this is Nets’ year to shine.
