And when I say replace Duncan with Strus, although I think Strus is the better all around player, im saying this in a scenario where Duncan is traded with a pick(s) for a player that is better than him to boost our team while retaining Strus to pick up where he left off whether that’s on the bench if we were to trade for someone like Buddy or Barnes, or in the starting lineup if we were to trade for someone like Turner to player next to Bam

I get that Lowery is a major factor in getting people in the right spot, but i cant separate how much is lowery and how much is talent development/evaluation.

I guess the end of NBA bench guys are not light years better then the fringe guys that show out in G league. I use to think that was a bigger jump then maybe it actually is.

It could be luck, but damn...Duncan, Martin, Yurt, Strus, Gabe, and maybe now maybe Guy?

I wonder if the Heat are even surprising themselves with the next man up approach we have seen. I use to think they didn't want the spacing of Duncan to walk out the door, I am now thinking they REALLY wanted that salary tied up to trade it.

I think the change in play style and the game being catered to offensively gifted players these days has a lot to do with it

Back to Bam for Towns, if we’re discussing trading Bam for another big, it’s not worth discussing unless it’s Embiid or Jokic

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

So you and 3ammy want to replace Duncan and Herro with Strus and Guy. Gotcha

What? I post this info when I see it posted on twitter, I did it earlier in the year but to address your statement for me just posting that tweet, LAST SEASON and this offseason I was saying to let Robinson walk in the offseason and replace him with Strus and hopefully use that money to sign other players for positions of need... namely PF until Bam is moved to PF.

I think Miami can find/develop players to work well on the roster so I'm all for packaging players to try to get high level players.

On Guy, I wouldn't mind him on the roster but he's not as good as Herro. Adding more players that could contribute does allow the FO to make more moves in the future. I wouldn't be mad to see Martin converted to a vet min with Guy added as a 2-way player.

Players like Strus and Guy are the reason I don't think teams should be overpaying for players who can only shoot, you can find those players for cheap.

That's looking wise right about now.....

I cant help but think Duncan was right place at the right time, and they needed to lock up money for a future over the cap trade...

In all honesty that's a no brainer but Clipps are depleted and say no. They need actual NBA level players not two immobilized players

I'm sure someone posted this before, but it's some real bullchit that Jokic got away with this heinous human assault with one game suspension.

Can the league retroactively suspend his ass for 15 games? 30 games? that's a whiplash from a pickup truck rear-ending

Heat have some real NBA teams to play now and the injury to Butler again is bad timing. Heat were lucky to play non NBA level teams. **** is about to get real. Reality can be a bia bia.Image

That's what I hope is the reason the FO paid him, to retain him as a sizable contract to move once they saw this team this year, possibly next year with them hard capped. Also, paying Robinson nearly instantly allowed Miami to tell Oladipo, all we can do is give you the minimum for next season because of the hard cap and Oladipo couldn't really argue to get more money, it wasn't possible.

Dammit the sore butt had Jimmy off his feet, not walking, his ankles are weak and now injured. He needs total rehab and reconditioning.

Herro wants to be a starter but when he starts he’s an inefficient chucker. He’s a net negative player whether he starts or not but at least off the bench he’s putting up efficient numbers. I really wonder what this team is going to do.

1. Stand still and ride it out with this group.

2. Trade Duncan and picks for an upgrade to the rotation

3. Trade Duncan, Herro, and picks for a star and go all in to win the championship while the league is wide open.

Not that bad, severity of Jimmys injury is the only thing that could make it rough.

It’s unfortunate but our guy Jimmy is made of glass. He’s only played 8 more games than AD since he’s been in Miami just for reference.

It's insane how injury prone Yimmy is. Dude seems to turn an ankle and miss time with it like 4-5 times a season, on top of all the other random injuries he incurs. Wear some fkn hightops ffs

And what's the deal with us playing against full-strength rosters the past few games? I thought everyone was supposedly dealing with this covid chit

Ugh the pizza withdrawals have me in a pretty agitated state this morning

Kyle Guy has impressed us because he shoots the damn ball. No one is telling Guy to get to the line. Take notes, Herro.
