10 shots if he is lucky. I think 8 will be the standard.

Perhaps he might get more shots after the all star game.

Damn that's really unfair. Maybe you should file a formal complaint or something. Maybe then the raptors and nurse will exclusively focus on the ROY award.

Weird to me that raps fans have such a hard time admitting to themselves that no other rookie can be the go-to guy at both ends of the court like Scottie.

I think you're the one hurting bro. You'll never catch me complaining about one of our players scoring too many points. You are literally complaining about a guy during a 5 game run that is near a franchise record. Keep crying about it.

People complaining about Barnes' role during an excellent stretch of team basketball while he is thriving and insisting their own definition of his ideal role would be better is peak RGM.

Never change.

To hell with all these Raptor fans wanting their best young player to develop!

Oh hell yes.

And the fact that a 20yr old rookie can play the role of an all-time basketball mind like Gasol is....magnificent.

It's just that people are selfish and rightfully so because we all know Barnes is capable of more if he's given majority of the usage, he could average close to 20/10/10 withe excellent efficiency and defense. But yes he's is being held back for the good of the team and quite understandably, this kid is just too talented for his own good.

Barnes - 36mpg and 19.0% usg. / 12.6 FGA

Other players who had similar roles at 20 yrs old:

Nikola Jokic - 21.7 / 19.9% usg / 7.5 FGA
Giannis Antetokounpo 31.4 mpg / 19.6% usg / 9.6 FGA
Kawhi Leonard - 24mins / 14.5% usg / 6.3 FGA
James Harden - 22 mins / 20.4% usg / 7.6 FGA
Steph Curry - 36.2 min / 21.8% usg. / 14.3 FGA

Which one of these players wasnt able to develop properly?

Kid's IQ is off the charts we never had a rookie with this much poise, understanding and awareness, not Tracy, Not Bosh, Not Damon and certainly not Vince.

His talent is being effectively deployed, WHILE he is learning, improving, and with a fair amount of team success.

This is rare, and trading that for more counting stats is nonsensical.

I see this as Scottie, he's just too unselfish and loves to pass. It's a win/win as he will certainly facilitate to get guys good looks on the team. Scottie's assist number will go up, and he will thrive in this role.

I see his PPG taking a hit while his assist will go up, I see Scottie finishing the season at 13p/9reb/6a with excellent efficiency leading to many wins and potential upsets in the playoffs.

My brother....in my eyes everything is going great. I have no complaints. You are the one lamenting scottie's stat line. I don't care about his stats. Like you said....perhaps the allstar game's passing will soothe your concerns and you will join the rest of us who are content.

Not exactly sure why you comparing Scottie to some of the best players to ever play the game? They are outliers for a reason.

I just want Scottie to develop his offensive game, unless you think there is something wrong with that?

Because it shows that his current usage is fine for any prospect of his calibre and the ppl complaining about it don't know anything about how player development works.
