Would have never guessed this during summer league/preseason. I can't recall the last time I witnessed such a transformation. It's almost like the high pace of an actual NBA game benefited his game much more.

I'm old enough to remember when he looked horrible in summer league. Good times.

Congrats to Franz. I enjoy watching him play. Feels good to finally be the team who gets a draft steal.

Bring on the ROY next. Here is a good break down on why that isn’t such a far fetched idea:

Franz should retain his lead in the Kia Rookie Ladder today since the 38 point game will be included in last week. In 4 games he averaged 26 PPG 4.5 RPG. Giddey may jump over Cade and Barnes.

Franz scoring is on display right now, but his playmaking is a little bit hidden. We have hardly any shooters to pile easy assists from just moving the ball. Wagner's assists are mostly high level of difficulty pick and roll passes. Sometimes he loses the sight of corners but his involvement of rolling big men is promising (not so much popping). I think he will get there becouse many of his reads are mostly very good.
He is very unique. Much bigger than current young scorers (Tatum, Ingram both 6'8), as good of a scorer on drives by fg%(44,3 vs 45,5 vs 45 for Franz) while being better overall passer than both. All of that being 4 years younger. If he works hard enough there wont be any good comparison for him in current generation of players. I wonder how much more teams will gameplan for him, he already garners double teams.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

F-Wagner's shooting touch shows perfect technique: shot in and shot out !

Seriously though, his ability to drive to the basket has really opened up his long bomb.

Ditto for Anthony.

Biggest obstacle to ROY is Cole Anthony with the ball in his hands
