Embiid needs an MVP caliber teammate to play with.

Not like Jrue or Middleton with Giannis.
Not like Klay or Draymond with Steph.
Not like post prime Jason Kidd and post prime Shawn Marion with Dirk.
Not like Tony Parker or Ginobili with Duncan.

Ben Simmons does not play like a star in the 2nd round of the playoffs. If he did he would still be playing for Philly.

Butler was here for half a season and they were 4 bounces from a game 7 overtime against the champs, in a series where he was +90 on the floor. I'm really not sure why you're trying to extrapolate from this that he needs an MVP caliber player.

By this same logic, I guess KD needs an MVP candidate co-star or else he can't win either? Guess so, since he has zero rings without Steph and he's played with Harden for two separate franchises.

Meanwhile, who's Embiid's best point guard he's ever had? As in someone with the ability to run a halfcourt offense, pass, playmake, and shoot? TJ McConnell? Jimmy Butler playing out of position?

Biid needs Harden or Dame. Someone who can carry the team when he’s either physical or spiritually unavailable, which happens more often than other top tier stars.

Biid needs an MVP caliber teammate.
He can’t win with just a star.

Its not saying he is an inferior player so dont get easily offended.
You are being surprisingly stubborn lol.

Jimmy being here was our best season...da fuq are you on

That series took Kawhii going god mode, Gasol having Biid in jail, and Tobias being absolute asscheeks...also our back up center was Greg Monroe....and we still almost won lol. Jimmy isn't even a perfect fit himself just someone who can carry a quarter or so by himself. Niang and Kork getting hot has won us games lately ffs. Again Middleton getting super hot last year and Jrue setting Giannis up for easy buckets was a big part why they won last year///the Suns couldn't just create a wall to stop Giannis like teams had been able to do so in past playoffs because Bledsoe was ass and Middleton didn't turn Jordan mode on...and thus Giannis would fall back into barreling into the rim as their only recourse....sounds rather familiar no?

i don't get why you are dying on this hill.... the idea that maybe getting better players would help isn't some controversial statement.

Give Embiid a F that can defend and shoot and a G that can dribble and shoot and he'd win a chip.

So non-star players I think he can win with that meet this description are Cam Reddish and D'Angelo Russell.

With Doc gone a little while, we’ll see if Dan Burke has game, as far as the big guy is concerned.

I couldn't care less about Player of the Month awards, but since when does team record put one player over the other? Surely it's a byproduct of great players leading their teams, but to throw that out as your first point of argument is hilarious.

Embiid has some issues in playoffs in the clutch, but we absolutely failed him with roster construction, he deserves much better.

I might have worn out my welcome too. I accidently brought up the race card (admittedly might not have been my finest moment, but Jokic fans are rabid, and cultish and every Embiid thread is full of them just stating the same damn thing over and over again).

They are going crazy there lol.

you shouldn't even try with Embiid threads there. The Jokic fan boys are going to always claim that passing is the greatest trait a big can have, completely ignore defense and rattle off some advanced stat forged in the heart of a dying dwarf star.

I like Jokic but his fans are absolutely toxic. There's a post claiming Embiid couldn't dribble the ball up the court lol.

That's pretty much the entire schtick of that board.
