So, if we picked Tyrell Terry for MEM everybody would be happy, right?

We traded the 30th pick not Bane and if we kept it we might have Terry, Carney, Oturu, Maledon on the bench...

That’s even worse. Celtics need a fresh start with talent evaluation

Fire Ainge (the other one).

ATL has been talked about as a possible trade partner. They need defense (Smart? Richardson?)

Schroder has been mentioned as a possibility to ATL too.

Richardson and Schroeder for bogdanovic works.

Smart, Bogdan, jb, Tatum, rwiii is a nice lineup with Grant, horford, and the rest of the youngins off the bench.

That would improve our shooting but we'd be lacking a bit in someone that can get to the rim.

I think SChroder to Atlanta makes loads of sense for them

And obviously us.

Give us a pick and take him

Or if planning on trading Horford, Schroder and Juancho for Wright and Dieng works

I really like what Richardson brings to the team. He really ups the energy level on the floor.
I have him as the better overall player to Bogi personally.

And IMO Bogi has dropped off in performance this year and is locked up for 2 more years at 36 million. not a great contract.

If we traded for Bogi, I want to keep Richardson.

Schroder, Juancho and Fernando for Bogi works.
Trade Al somewhere to free up salary and add depth

When the Cavs were willing to give up Denzel Valentine for the corpse of Rajon Rondo, that tells you all you need to know about Schroder's trade value. I'm not giving any assets to get rid of him. Just glue him to the bench for a few months.

nope, trade him to gather assets than can be used for a larger trade offer either at deadline or in the offseason.

(IE an extra pick to add to a package for beal)

You aren't getting any assets for Schroder. You would have to give up assets to unload him. Other NBA teams watch film.

I thought you wanted to deal Schroder for Ntiilikina. You'll finally get the guy you preferred over Tatum in the 2017 draft.

Yeah, and other teams see that even with his obvious flaws, if you need some scoring off the bench he can give you that,

Put him i n Lou Williams of 10 years ago role and you have a piece that could propel a team to a championship.

It will not "cost" the celtics to move him, that is just ridiculous

Yeah, I prefer Richardson over Bogi. I'd trade Schroder and Richardson for Reddish, Wright and Hill, but ATL probably wants more from Boston.

Kind of a boring trade with the Hawks but how about something like:

Celtics in:
Ty Jerome
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot

Hawks in:
Dennis Schroder

Thunder in:
Juancho Hernangomez
Lou Williams
Draft compensation from ATL.

Celtics move Schroder since he is 99% likely to not be on the team next season & get a buy low prospect in Jerome, while now ducking the tax. Hawks upgrade Lou Will to Schroder while staying under the tax line as well. Thunder do what the Thunder do; acquire contracts for more draft capital, which would come from the Hawks.

If there's a deadline trade, it'll probably be a boring one like sending out Schro or whatever pieces to get under the tax. Wonder if the Hawks would just do a Schro/Reddish swap.

IMO that Gallinari contract could be real useful in an offseason trade as it can be waived by 6/22/22 and only cost 5 million dollars.

So unless I am mistaken, you can trade him prior June 22 (along with 5 million in cash) and you have just completely free salary cap space for whatever team is getting him.

For example
Beal wants to come to boston and we facilitate a sign and trade.

Gallo
5 million in cash
Richardson (exp)
Nesmith

would allow Beal to resign at 33 million and the "on the books salary" for washington to only be about 13 million after dropping Gallo.
