I average watching at least one game a day on NBA TV (often games played the night before).

I wish they would show more legacy games from the 60s and 70s. I don't have a favorite team but there are players I root for and against. Mostly love the gossip, schadenfreude, and drama as well as the insane athleticism, and finally have watched enough to pick up on subtle things like team defensive movement, plays, etc.

When not watching, I am either sh*tposting hawt takes or messing with vintage basketball cards or shooting hoops.

Don't think I've watched a game in over 2 years. Just check box scores and YouTube/twitter highlights and realgm.

I've been overwhelmed with work lately, so I only watched Sunday games starting at 7 or 9:30 PM in my time zone. But as of today I'm in Covid isolation for the following two weeks, so I'll surely watch some games.

I watched one game per day when I was younger. Nowadays I watch every jazz game and occasional games for other teams.
And in Playoffs I use to watch one game per day.

If you want to watch some really old games on TV, you're probably going to have to watch the local stations - like channel that shows the Knicks might show some 70s ball.

Or just watch online or tape collect.

There are like 1 or 2 games a week on during the evening for Europeans, which I try to watch if I don't have other commitments. I'm not going to stay up till 4am for a random regular season game though. I do still watch highlights in the morning and keep track of news and the advanced stats but consistently watching games live just isn't feasible at the moment.

I watch every Charlotte Hornets game, and then most of the playoffs.

I used to watch a few regular season games a week of other top teams during the 90s and 00s but the presentation has become so poor for national broadcasts that it has killed my desire to do that anymore. Even TNT has degraded a bit. NBA on NBC did a much better job of hyping the matchup even if the teams were middling, nowadays it only seems like the NFL broadcasters can do that effectively.

There should really be an option for 'I watch the team I support, but no other regular season games'. I suspect it's a decent chunk of viewers.

As rabid basketball fans(which we all clearly are), I think it is sort of implied that your going to watch your home team. With games being ~3hours, there's only so many you can tune into.

True, I just think it would be interesting to see a % on that. There are a lot of 'player fans' as well who just follow the superstars.

Try to watch Utah Jazz, LA Lakers, Denver Nuggets. Sometimes Chicago, New York, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Golden State, Portland. Charlotte looks entertaining this year.

lol, I pay a lot of money to be able to DVR my Cavs out of market and just presumed realgm was filled with even more hard-core fans who pay even more to attend games.

All Sixers games, and then whatever game I feel like watching on nights the Sixers have off.

Do you watch the nba?
The Ratings are bad
The game is not the same
They shoot too many 3's
The players are too political

Blah, blah, blah....The NBA is a GREAT product right now....

I've got to be in the top 1% of viewers. Once I get everything done for the day, I flip on league pass/Sling, and watch a ton of games, every damn night. This year's product is much improved with the new rules, but the new ball is still bothering a slew of players around the league.

I loathe the idiot ball(3 pointer after 3 pointer)that a majority of teams play now, but the winds of change are in the air as of late, with big ass teams like Cleveland, making a statement, and watching Derozan thrive in Chicago warm my heart.

Everything is cyclical, so post play, and cutting will swing back around again.

Team list of priority;(East coast)

1.Pistons(Hometown team) If the game is crap, I immediately switch to

2.Cleveland-Awesome team to watch, and a hell of a lot of fun. Pistons have been so bad, I've seen almost every game this year

3.Chicago-They are a piece away from being a legitimate contender. Fill that 4 spot(Take Grant for Williams please)and away they go.

4.Boston. This is for pure enjoyment of watching that team stutter its way into an eventual trade, or mix up of the team. It just doesn't work. Old enemies I enjoy bumble around.

(West coast second game priority)

Conference is super top heavy this year. Lots of chaff in the conference. Used to Dallas as top priority, but man its been a tough watch this year so they are off the radar.

1.Memphis. Morant is amazing to watch, plain and simple. good solid team, and could stun a team or two in the playoffs.

2.PHX. Good team, rooting for them to win a title, but depending on who comes out of the East, chances look slim. We'll see. Don't get me wrong, damn good team, but they seem different then last year somehow.

Rest of the West is whatever game is on when all priorities are done, which is usually the horrific Lakers team. Slog to watch before AD went down, now its pretty brutal.

I'm just not invested in the players as I used to be. Nothing wrong with the product although there needs to be minor tweaks.

So, by not watching them play, you've concluded that teams aren't trying. That makes sense. :-?

Ease into the season in the first half of the season, try hard in the second half of the season. That's seemed to have always been the pattern... so yes it makes sense.

You, sir, are among the 1% of RealGMers qualified to comment on any and all things NBA.

Yes. When I get home at around 6:30, I watch about an hour or so during dinner/cooking.

Weekends, definitely.

I watch so much basketball I'd probably get depressed if I sat down and did a count.
