We can *kinda* approximate that with RJ, Obi, Sims and Mitch - but we need a SF/PF defensive stopper who will make life easier for all of those guys

Randle’s not cutting it, and I’m not sure who fits that profile in this draft

What all those players have in common is SIZE + high per36 STL/BLK rates

In this draft, the players who would currently fit that type of mold would be:
Jalen Duren
Keegan Murray
Tari Eason
Jeremy Sochan

Of the above, Murray and Eason I like the most

I like Matthew Mayer as a college player, not sure how he translates to the NBA though.

He's going to translate as a 2/3 very well... I have my eye on him with the Knicks 2nd round pick. Probably going to be a nice sleeper pick to contribute right away and become an impact role player off the bench for his career in the Huerter type of mold.

What we need. A playmaking point guard who's not afraid to pull it from deep

wish he had gone to play college ball or G-League instead of Overtime Elite; he's still playing high school level talent

My pick for sleeper of the draft. We don’t need SG’s but if he’s there when we pick they should grab him. Honestly once workout start I think he is going to jump into the top 10.

I am a fan of Tari but he looked like a tweener in this game. I appreciate the passing though. If he could shoot from the 3 pt line he would definitely be a sf, but I think he is going to get drafted as a PF. A lot of his best qualities come out from him operating in the paint, not the perimeter.

I can see it look at him trading buckets with Murray who is also a bucket getter. I think both guys are going to do great in the league. Murray reminds me of Danny Granger.

This draft is underrated. It’s not as good as last year’s but a lot of pretty good upperclassman are going to come out of it that benefitted from the extra year in college.

really like this kid. only downside is he's short. if he were a couple inches taller, he'd be top 10 easily, maybe top 5

Excellent passer, can shoot (off the dribble too), and is actually a good defender despite his lack of height (6'5 WS helps)

Davis is not a sleeper, everyone has him in the lottery. I got him in the top 3.

I would take Davis and Keegan over Ivey and Jabari but that is just me.

Don't want to not mention Chet and Paolo who I'm still high on.

Would be great if we got someone.

Knicks aren’t getting any of those kids. It’s best to come to terms with that now rather than
later. :meditate:

One of these years we will make the right pick, Lord knows we have had many opportunities to take the right guy. I could see Keegan Murray being there potentially when we pick or maybe the lottery balls are kind to us.

By seasons end I expect us to be drafting around pick #20 because believe it or not but we're only 3.0 games back of the NBAs 10th best record.

Curious --- last year there was a tidal wave of support for us drafting Bouknight on the board. just took a look at his numbers so far. one good game and lotsa c*appy ones. terrible FG% but 39% on 3s. How do people feel about him now? (haven't seen him, myself). Would he be getting the Knox/Frank rep if he were a Knick? Or worse? (maybe deservedly so?)

I wanted Franz Wagner and Deuce Mcbride :dontknow:

Year before that Haliburton (I also predicted IQ but thought it was nepotism....)

Year before that RJ

Year before that Mikal Bridges..... but I didn’t want Donovan Mitchell so you know :nonono:

I say that to say Bouknight was on the low not good in college he just has the body of a baller. His game was :banghead:

The more I look into this draft, the more I like it.

On the surface it would seem the draft is all about The Bigs like Chet, Jabari, and Banchero. However, there are three really good SG prospects in Ivey, Davis, and Hardy. I like those three more than every SG last year except for Jalen Green, All three seem like they can come in and be NBA starters sooner than later. The only issue with the draft is there are a lot of tweeners. Where the Knicks are right now, they should be able to get a good player. This year is being underrated for how deep it is.
