He's out with a sprained ankle, not Covid. When he hurt it, BD said that he would be evaluated in two weeks. That was about a week ago I think.

It was always going to happen with AC, just a shame it wasn't a week ago. In a positive, hopefully it gives him a few extra days to get his foot right. We're surviving without him for now.

From what has been reported, it should have more or less no impact on immunity gained.

The issue is whether the body learns to fight of the virus (produce effective antibodies), and how much “cross-immunity,” to similar viruses, is imparted.

The fact that this version doesn’t tend to infect the longs as much as the upper airways doesn’t necessarily mean that the body doesn’t get sufficient exposure to have to learn how to target the relevant proteins, etc,.

Keep in mind that many of our original vaccines were just weakened or even fully deactivated viruses, later (but still not always) with adjuvants to provoke greater immune system response (as if greater viral load).

I was at the point where I wanted AC to get it so we can get it all over with it.

Even though we've still been winning, I really miss how the team plays with Caruso. It's just different. Not really been impressed with down to the wire Ws against tanking teams.

You have to learn how to win all types of games to be elite. The Bulls have a target on their backs now. Teams are getting up to play them.

I'm always going to be impressed winning a game that goes down to the wire.

I hated when we used to be on the losing end of those.

Agreed. The Bulls have been missing a lot of guys, too. Any NBA team can beat another team on a given night. You see lousy teams beating great teams all the time. Winning 8 straight is really freaking hard to do. What they've been doing is very impressive.

Had a bad feeling Caruso was on the track of starting to rack up those constant nagging injuries, coming back too early, compensating, that all leads to something bigger. This is a serious blessing in disguise.

Agreed. Get healthy as you can now instead of pushing it. This way he won't rush back. Sometimes competitors need to be protected from themselves.

It looks like the Omicrcon surge may be reaching it's peak- we've been in the 650-680K range of new cases per day now for the past 3-4 days. So numbers aren't increasing by 25-50K per day like they were a week ago. Let's hope this is the worst of it, and we start seeing it level out or even dropping soon. We also should be getting past any surge of new cases caused by the holidays too.

This is not true. The J&J vaccine uses a harmless virus that teaches your cells to produce the COVID-19 spike protein so that your immune system can learn to detect it. It's not a "weakened" form of the COVID-19 virus in any sense.

I'm guessing he had 1 negative test so far? Or would it need to be 2 to go to facility?

Come back soon MVP!

He's gotta be close to a return. I bet he plays on Wednesday.

It will be nice to get our 2nd highest +/- player back in the rotation.
Javonte is also 5th highest, we're missing some impact players right now.

I think you need the 2 negative tests in order to be out of quarantine, so this tweet implies that he's had that and is now ramping up his conditioning.

Sit vs the pistons

We really need the defensive coordinator Alex Caruso vs the nets and warriors.
