I wish he'd start Grant and use Horford off the bench to spell RWIII. He probably wants to hamstring the opponent defensively with this lineup. But I'd appreciate it if he would ever discuss why Horford at the 4 is so much greater than Grant defensively that it means Horford needs to start. RWIII can distribute more effectively than Al, while Grant shoots it significantly better and (when given the opportunity) can punish smaller defenders on switches. Noting enormous respect for Al, he's nevertheless 35 not 30.

That 2 big lineup?

Again?

**** I hate Ime.

IDK why you're surprised. Before the season even started, Udoka was quoted saying that:

a) he intends to pick a starting 5 and stick with it - so that everyone knows their role and having a set, consistent starting unit would allow for better chemistry
b) the starting 5 is smart, brown, tatum, al and rob

a) which was dumb to start with as a majority of the team already had seasons together, and is not a good lineup and has many flaws in it

b) it is wasting players talents.
Tatum is miles better as a pf.

As an aside (which won't matter to folks watching on NBA league pass), the Celtics' pre game show sucks. The new woman they've added has nothing intelligent to say (or if she does, they don't let her say it) and Chris Forsberg needs a better haircut. Then we've got Scalabrine pontificating and trying to be a shill for the team, but it doesn't come naturally to him, as it did to Tommy, and Kendrick Perkins is wrong about just about everything. Meanwhile, we have the same intro music that we had in 2006. It's a really bush league effort.

It really doesn't matter whether you call Tatum a PF or a SF, he's going to do the same things on offense and get guarded by the same people and the same way on defense. If you pencil in Enes Kanter Freedom as "PG" the opposing teams aren't going to defend him with Trae Young and D.J. Augustin.

I like Tatum Starting as a SF, and Brown as a SG, and to a lessser extent, Horford as a PF.
Those 3 can play 2 positions pretty well.

For the game, I think that you play Horford and Rob Williams in tandem, and not so much together.
Really, the same with Tatum & Brown. They don't need the ball at the same time. I'd stagger them.

Agreed. On both.
Al is such a facilitator. It's good to have him.

That was a .5 second decision by Tatum.

Ditto Jaylen on the second part of the possession.
