We are in a unique position with young assets, vets, expiring's, draft picks, cap space etc. We could go a million ways with our roster and trying to understand/predict where we are headed can lead you down a numerous rabbit holes.

If you were in charge of the roster, what would be the 1 Trade, the 1 FA signing and the 1 Draft pick you would make to improve the roster and direction of the franchise for the start of the 2022/23 season.

Part 1 - 1 realistic trade (can be before deadline or in offseason)


Part 2 - 1 realistic FA Signing


Part 3 - 1 Draft Pick (use Tankathon for draft order and picks)


Then post your 2022/23 lineup and the direction the team is taking (further asset collection, chasing a play-in spot, tanking again??)

1 - trade T-Ross for a late 1st, say the 76ers
2 - sign DeAndre Ayton to a Max deal and hope the suns don't match
3 - Draft Jabari Smith #1 and then with the 76ers pick, Christian Koloko (C, Arizona), and obviously sell both 2nd rounders for cash and future 2nd rounders

For the most part i agree with you.
I would use the first second round to draft a wing player.

NOLA sends Brandon Ingram, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and the #4 overall pick to ORL
(NOLA pairs Zion & Valanciounas with Holmgren to form a big, versatile front court & adds a first, backcourt firepower & cap space)


2. Bamba sign & trade (with '22 srp) to CHA for PJ Washington & Jalen McDaniels
I'd be okay with keeping RoLo, MCW, and M.Wagner as cheap, tough, bench depth.

3. ORL uses the #4 pick to select Jaden Ivey, SG from Purdue

Lots of length & speed at every position. Not a lot of bulk down low other than MCW, RoLo, M. Wagner...lots of versatility for matchups. Next step would be to see who among Ivey, Suggs, NAW, Hampton, McDaniels, Okeke can take a leap forward. Health & status of Fultz & Isaac (as always) would be significant indicators of the team's ceiling.

this has Orlando drafting 12th in giving up its high pick
1b) trade Ross, Moore and the Magic high 2nd for Dario Šarić, Jalen Smith, and the Utah FRP.

2) Resign Bamba to a 2-year 10 million deal. Pick up team option on M-Wagner. Resign Schofield. Sign the best available G-leaguer at PG.

3) At #12, draft Johnny Davis. At #28 draft Ibou Dianko Badji.
