With Kyrie back you add another 3 level scorer. He doesn't need free throws to get buckets which is valuable especially with the slight rule changes and the way they officiate in the playoffs. Harden needs to be hidden on defense so having him guard non stars in the post has always been the solution since he's very strong down there. Now it's time for the team to sit Kyrie down and tell him it's time to get vaccinated, cause this omicron isn't going anywhere and the mandates aren't going anywhere either.

Kyrie seems intent on still not getting it. Even in the interview today.
Idk what it will take.
But clearly we need him.

Opposite is true re Kyrie. He can't play home games.
As for seeding we will find out. If we get to play Miami in second round and Bucks in the conf finals it won't be ideal by any means. I'd slide few games just to get them on a same bracket. Seeing either one of them is better than both one after another.
I mean seeding as in if we lose a top seed.
I'd love to play Miami. They have no shot at beating us. Literally got swept last year and did nothing but added a over the hill Lowry.
The only team that could beat us is Milwaukee. And even that would require injuries like last year.
They deep well coached team. Something we weren't being to handle entire year. Overlooking Bulls has more validation since Donavan, Vuc, DeRozan hasn't showed off. However I'm not looking past them either. We play them soon. Even if it's just another regular season game, it'll show where both teams can improve on. I'll be watching Vuc a lot.

Houstons deep run in the playoffs in 17-18 when they took GSW to 7 in the WCF Harden was primarily a paint defender on switches he would almost always drop down and then one of Houston’s bigs PJ or Clint would go up. He is almost immovable down there. Would love to see Nash do the same in playoffs. Claxton is very Capela like.
We know Harden can play good defense it’s all about his effort. Good comparison with Capela, Claxton has so much potential but the timeline here is off unless he takes that next step soon. Might happen. I also think the difference last year was Dantoni. He had them running a lot of Mash screen sets just like Rockets did and now the Suns are doing if you watch that offense with CP3. With Kyrie and Durant this is just a deadly iso attack offense with some pick and pop sets and the occasional cutter.
Absolutely great point about Mike D. I knew that loss would impact Brooklyn especially with such an inexperienced guy like Nash running the team. This offense is just desperate for any type of action at this point and there just isn’t anything. It’s purely ISO and pray one of the stars makes a play.
I really like Claxton as I did Capela. Clint was incredibly raw his 1st year in Houston behind Dwight but he greatly improved every year and I think a lot of that had to do with not only getting the proper minutes but being put in a situation to be successful and being surrounded by the right players and coaching ( the later Brooklyn doesn’t have ) but none the less I would still love to see Harden and Brooklyn use Claxton the way Capela was used offensively and defensively. Even being raw it would improve Brooklyn so much.
If you watch closely Harden is trying his best to foster that. He’s setting him up with the side bounce passes off the drive like he did with Nene as well. Once that clicks you will see the wings suddenly open up. Deadly stuff and scary hours coming. Claxton has to get the timing down.

The playoffs is a different animal man,
Kd/Harden don't always get up for these regular season games in January.
We saw them turn it on in the playoffs last year. They will do it again.
I'm not trusting Demar Derozan to lead a team anywhere.

Kyrie is the difference maker. Harden’s 18 points would have been criticized to no end but Kyrie’s 22 pts covers that point spread. They scored 79 amongst each other. No way in hell teams have a shot against a fully healthy and clicking Net team. Let’s get that chemistry going.

There were plenty of players that underachieved for the most part of their career to win one at the end. Last one was guy name Dirk Nowitski who's jersey getting into rafters today. Billups was dumped before he got one for Motown etc. Overlooking your opponents is first step for failure. You taking all the steps that direction. Keep telling yourself it's all gravy, more often than not it'll be diarrhea after.

Youre comparing Dirk to Demar Derozan
Hes not that guy. Im overlooking him all day. Sorry.
Hes not on KD/Harden/Kyrie level.

The Bulls are a very good and well coached team. Don’t overlook coaching. Unless Kyrie plays full time or something drastic changes with Brooklyn and their non existent offensive identity Chicago, Phili and Milwaukee all pose problems.

Don't pay no mind to select few. They have selective memory. Last time we overlooked Bulls one legged Noah and Nate THE GREATE Robinson send us home.
We showed nothing reasonable to be cocky about. Neither of our top 3 been able to win s*** as a best player or a lead guy.
Yes I said it. Curry won chip without KD and actually send him home doing so.
Kyrie led Saltic team imploded. His Cavs team never sniffed playoffs. Talking about couple games during finals is all his fan club has. Ja and LaMelo took what everyone thought to be worst teams to playoffs or contention. Dame is a franchise player. AD won with LBJ without third all star and was/is in conversation to be top 3-5 player. Do I need to saying anything about Curry? Bringing Kyrie is disrespectful imo.
All proven facts that happened.

Paddy's averaged over 35mpg for December, which might help explain some of his off-shooting nights.
I'm okay with him getting more rest and hopefully having fresher legs down the road.
Mills is better off coming off the bench. he has been a microwave his entire career and is closer to that role off the pine. he is still gonna get his 30ish minutes either way. But as a starter he is window dressing. KD/Harden are gonna dominate the ball to start, he is just a floor spacer there.
I didnt hate the death lineup to end the game were kyrie and mills were on with KD/Durant

Yes he sucks. But our played are playing like ****. The defense is just poor effort and dumb plays. The offense is a lot of dumb shots.
I blame Nash for playing lineups that make no sense. When he actually puts players in positions to succeed, then I'd be willing to give him some slack.
We literally have Kyrie, KD and Harden.
They should be crushing the injured Pacers even if it me and you out there with them.
Thats kind of the point... if you cant come out and stomp a pacers team on a back to back decimated by covid with durant, harden, and Kyrie you suck as a coach, period.

You act like the coach is the only one with any influence over the game.
The players shouldn't have been down that much to the Pacers. Stop absolving them of all responsibility.
You just sound like a broken record player at this point. All you ever do is blame Nash for everything.

We're really good at that.
Things did not go right though and Nash was a terrible coach tonight:
We just lost 3 in a row to awful competition decimated and on back to backs. after the last loss he and KD said the team was lazy. He wasn't able to motivate the team to come out like gangbusters despite coming off an embarassing loss and the return of Kyrie. Made no adjustments to Lance early. didnt try and get it out of his hands didnt try and make indy beat us. just switch everything. there is no stragey its switching everything on D and roll a ball out on offense. a 3rd grade gym teacher could do better.

Re: Nets @ Pacers| 1.05.2022 @ 7:30 PM on YES
My thoughts...
1. Awful game, came out dead, got spanked for 30 minutes by a god awful tired opponent/ wamt to give credit to the guys for clawing back but really indy just ran out of gas. One of the worst coached games of the year by Nash, including not being able to fire up his team after 3 losses and kyries return
2) Bembry is a G. (he turned this game for us, he should start every game, period)
3) Kyrie activates GOD MODE for our offense. We didnt even play close to our best offensive game but dropped 130. Kyrie has the gravity to space the floor, can beat any defender 1 on 1 and crushes jumpers. He also adds a speed element our offense lacks without him, especially in transition
4) We need to generate more threes. i know Kyrie masks it all and makes our offense insane but coaches need to get us more threes.

D.Will and Joe considered to be best back court at that time
Another factual lie here. The year before Saltics went to CF led by Tatum. Yes the year Kyrie got hurt. Saltics fans didn't go after Kyrie for no reason, if anything he said himself that mistakes were made and he should've known better. I wonder why he called LBJ
Another lie. Ja and LaMelo joined teams that were clearly rebuilding and had no intentions to compete.
I'm sounding like a guy who'll be schooling you again few months from now. I've been watching sports for over 20 years. Basketball, Football, Soccer etc you name it. This team has all the signs of overrated fluke. Unless they readjust immediately. This far they showed no signs of doing so.
I've been Nets fan before you was born probably.
Being cocky dumb dumb is not something I'm going to cosign to.
You have no idea how rare it is to collect/assemble team like this. If we blow this... we will go down as THE MOST DISAPPOINTING TEAM EVER !!! We on track to do just that. I don't consider myself a loser. I'll voice my opinion in order to change just that. I really doubt you can comprehend it though, so go kick rocks for few months, GTR11 summer school will be in session soon.

Kyrie doesn't need to change his mind. New York will likely give up on this mandate nonsense soon. The stubborn politicians are starting to look silly. At this point, the science doesn't even support them. The data is essentially irrefutable. Even the Fed is throwing in the towel.

Go back to the Lakers forum with the antivax horsesh*t. The data says that the unvaccinated are the ones filling ICUs while the worst most vaccinated people face from the omicron variant are mild symptoms. The mandate has done its job.
