I've been consistently saying that I think we finish 11-17th (depending on health) but just that I hoped we would remain in the lottery to improve our odds of drafting another star but it's really looking like this team is Playoff bound & not because they're so "good" just other teams seem deflated ie/ BOS, ATL...then you have WAS that turned back into a pumpkin/overrated, NYK were the biggest overachievers that everyone guessed they'd be in the lottery last year, now the East is better and they are again. IND has been flooded with trade rumors, apparently guys asking to be traded and Turner flat out whining about his role in public, that lockerroom is done...

But the biggest letdown's have to be BOS & ATL...ATL were supposed to be a team on the come up and they just look mediocre. Now granted they've missed Hunter who was their best perimeter defender & near 20pt scorer and portion of it missed Bogi too plus covid issues too. But we dealt with it too so in the moment there shouldn't be that excuse. Although we haven't lost our best perimeter defender & near 20 scorer for months like Hunter *ahem* OG but still they've underwhelmed. Of course there's time to turn it around and they did so last year but until they show signs, last year is last year...

BOS on the otherhand just don't seem to like playing together when I watch them. There were several compliants that Brown & Tatum don't share enough and they have a new coach that who says he's any good just because he came from Pops' coaching tree. But anytime I watch them, they just seem flat with very little chemistry. I'm not sure if Ainge didn't leave Stevens with much after squandering the "war chest" but aside from that young duo, they've made some underwhelming picks and what's left?! The corpse of Horford with more name cache than game, Schroeder no one wanted to pickup and Enes the humanitarian?! ATL is really the only team somewhat in our range I could maybe see catching us. But NYK definitely looks cooked and personally I believe BOS isn't looking to be too far behind and I'm just never sold on WAS. It's looking like 15-17th and a 1st round beatdown UNLESS we pray to catch CHI, about the only way to have a real shot out the 1st.

Yes, we'd pick before them. Playoff teams pick 15-30, non-playoff teams are in the lottery. The play-in is not the playoffs.
