That is going to have to come via the NBA entry draft. A ton of wing players in this draft that are lottery bound.

Slim slim likelihood that happens via free agency,

high end scoring 1/2 outside of the lottery? Thats wishful thinking.

Playoffs mean win with the talent we have most likely.

Hugo Besson
Julian Champagnie

If we end up in this 16-20 range I'm really liking max Christie. Great size for a shooter and still young could be an interesting get with an ability to shoot right away and potential to be a star if he develops

Besson looks like an interesting fit for us as the 6th man scoring type we need.

Assuming we end up in the 20-30 range:

I really like Julian Champagnie in that range and he'd be great value and fun fit with his brother Justin.

Another guy that doesn't quite fit our size model, but would fill a scoring, creation, speed and athleticism need is Isaiah Wong. I have been watching him for the past couple years and he is older but such a dynamic scoring weapon. If Toronto wants to amp its scoring game I'd go with Wong.

Last year Max Abmas was a fringe first rounder and despite his size he just keeps putting up the same amazing numbers. If Toronto is looking for a sure-fire shot creator/scorer, he'd be the pick. NBA 3 range and more.

Julian reminds me of Wilson Chandler. 44% from 3 is nice on 6.7 attempts per game. If the Raptors make a run for the #3 seed in the East, then I'd consider him in the late 1st.

Abmas is in the same boat as the Marquette kid was in. I forgot his name already.

I think you mean Markus Howard, who I loved in college. Only 5'10 but with Denver he is averaging 11.5 PPG over his last ten games and shooting 54% from three. Guys that can be microwave scorers can turn a game around. I think Toronto was hoping that Flynn would do that, but he was never that efficient a scorer even in college.

With Siakam playing so well and Portland starting to seem like they might eventually shut Dame down and Simons looking good, I wonder if the idea of a McCollum for Siakam trade in the summer with a pick swap might be conceivable again. Siakam is obviously a perfect fit there at the 4 and are they really going to try to develop one of Jabari/Holmgren/Banchero while Lillard declines?

Kendall Brown might be the guy at this point where the team drafts now. He's a solid player.

Johnny Davis has 26/9/5 on 10/18 shooting with ~4 minutes left against another big 10 opponent in Iowa. This is after dropping 37 against Purdue. Carrying his relatively crappy team to quality wins.

He's honestly in consideration for #1 for me, that's how high I am on him and how low I am on the rest of the draft class.

One can only hope. He is a guy who wins you basketball games without needing the ball much.

Can we talk about how good Trevion Williams is? I see Edey and Ivey getting a lot of love, but Williams is just a joy to watch.

Siakam is also a perfect here with Barnes and OG.
And you got to wonder if Portland thinks Siakam worth more than McCollum.

We don't know if he's a perfect fit yet. But even if he is, Barnes is so much younger and recalibrating around him being a genuine star you can contend around in 3-4 years is probable enough that moving Siakam still wouldn't shock me.

I can't imagine Portland wouldn't love to trade McCollum for Siakam. Lillard-Powell-Little-Siakam-Nurkic with Nance, Covington and Simons off the bench actually might be a good defensive team and more balanced on O (which they must want since they brought in Billups who talked a ton about it even though Portland scored fine by letting the guards and Nurk do it all) and Siakam is 3 years younger. The pick might be too rich a price, but I think Siakam would be a great get for them. He could play the 3,4 and 5 there in different lineups and give Lillard a shot to win some playoff series, which seems unlikely at the moment, even if they rally for the play-in.

Keep dreaming man. lol it’s so funny all these people begging to trade Siakam just to clear space for Barnes. Soon as Barnes is in year 4 and doesn’t live up to your expectations I guess we gonna trade him too and make room for whatever shiny new prospect is on the bench.

Trading Siakam for McCollum isn't a knock on Siakam it's praise for McCollum who is able to also play backup PG (which he does when Lillard is out). This positionally balances both teams. Powell starts at SG and frees up more PT for Simons.

Something like Siakam and Flynn for McCollum, filler and 2022 1st pick (top 4 protected). Maybe this trade is done during the draft if the Blazers don't move up into the top 4.

PG Lillard - Flynn
SG Powell - Simons
SF Covington - Powell
PF Siakam - Little
C Nurkic - Nance Jr

PG FVV - McCollum - Banton - DJ
SG McCollum - Trent - 1st pick (Por)
SF OG - Trent - Champ
PF Barnes - Yuta - 1st pick (Tor)
C Precious - Birch

Either you guys refuse to see the kind of players Masai likes or you don’t. lol I’ll give you a shiny dollar if Masai trades pascal for McCollum.

AJ Griffin is starting to come together, he has put together a decent stretch of 5 games.

Caleb Houstan struggling over his last 4 games from deep, shooting a combined 2/17
