I ask in Kings forum and they dont like the trade

Not really close for Sac at all. If, big if, there were a trade for NYK to get Hali it would be based around RJ, not Randle. That wouldn't be a trade I'm interested in exploring either though.

Nope Draft RJ, Keep RJs and it’s kind of misses the point.

Seriously? I’d engaged with the Kings if they were open to that. Halliburton makes his teammates mo’ better than RJ. Getting a 3+D wing is much easier than a good PG. Halliburton is going to be a star.

I'm actually with you on this one. I love RJ but i'm worried he'll never become that guy that can consistently play well or consistently shoot well for sure. I'd try to add players to the deal to get someone else. Maybe we can somehow get them to take Fournier and give us B.Hield or something. I say that without looking at contracts but i want Hali. I'm sick of not having a actual PG on this team.

The Kings also selected a good PG in last year’s draft, Davion Mitchell who looks like a player.

lead ballhandlers are still the premium and hardest to get players in the draft. even the kings stock repeatedly on those. only the knicks....

I was gonna say we should get him with Hali but no way they're gonna trade 2 of their PG's but i'd be all over that if we could get both.

We’d probably get Fox and maybe one of their bigs or Barnes. I don’t know if that’s good. I mean they’re bad too.
I always wanted Hield for his shooting. I still like the idea, but not if we trade Randle.

So, basically, how can you take the two rosters and make the two best possible teams (not what is the best team you can make from combining both)?

Re: Offseason Trades and Transactions Ideas Thread Take 2
Who knows what the Knicks are going to do.
They should try and sell a player like Burks to get some more assets in front of the theoretical run the are going to make at some "star" within the next 1.5 years.
Then again, maintaining some illusion of being competitive is part of that plan and they may value Burks too much in that regard. Their opinion of him, not mine.
The Knicks should probably be trying to combine some roster redundancy and turn a few "ok" players into one better player, like the Hawks are trying to do with Gallinari and Reddish, but the Hawks started their rebuild earlier, were more aggressive about getting picks sooner and in general, and signed better FA's - like Gallo - so there is a better chance they can cash them up into a better player.
I think on timeline alone, it would be another year for the Knicks to do that, if Obi, Grimes, IQ etc panned at all in the right way, but the Knicks blew that timeline up by re-upping non compelling FA's like Noel, Taj, Burks and blowing money on Fournier.
To put it another way, some random team looking to make a deal would probably be more interested in Gallinari or BogBog or Lou Williams, than Noel, Taj, Burks or Fournier.
Anyway, the Knicks have 4 centers, 3 of whom are rim runners. They could deal one of them and not miss a beat.
The Knicks have like 3 PG's on the roster, if you consider Kemba and Rose full PG's, and IQ and McBride .5 PG's. And I think McBride is a PG, but just based on how much he'll play, he's a project etc.
So a trade could happen with assets here as well.
The Knicks have the following at guard/wing: Fournier, RJ, Burks, Grimes, IQ - there's an extra player there as well.
Knicks could trade a C/Wing/PG and still be running a 10 man rotation.
Again, no trade is easy as Fournier is overpaid, Burks is "ok", IQ is dimeadozen, Noel is whatever - a playoff team would need some bench big depth, Mitch is "ok", see Noel but with a tip of "promise" still there etc etc etc.

I think you can move Fournier. I proposed before the trad below
Knicks get: Christian wood, Eric Gordon
Clipps get: Fournier,
Rockets get: Bledsoe, Mitch rob, Noel.
I think we could swing some picks to clipps to encourage it also. Houston seems in trouble chemistry wise and we could take advantage

I'd do either of those deals but really like the length Hali brings with defense over Fox. Getting rid of Fournier, who i was against signing in the offseason, (humble brag) is a huge plus for me.

Just get a deal done centered around Halliburton or Fox for RJ. MYbe the deal can expand in other ways that would improve our team. I’m not sure what those other pieces would look like yet.

Been watching BJ Boston highlights. What bothers me is we are supposed to be so incredibly tied into Kentucky. We should have known his time there was not representative of what he could do in the NBA. We had 2nd rounders. Could have taken Boston and Deuce.
We can miss on a player but not one where we are that connected to the school he played for.
