Jokic should have been suspended longer. He took Morris out for 30 games, that is a serious injury that Jokic caused.

I thought Joker would be suspended longer. The really sad part is that this was one of those back injuries that was very serious. What Markieff Morris did the Joker could have injured him in a similar fashion. The difference in the penalty has to do with which player hurt whom. If Markieff had put Joker after 30 Games Morris would be out for the season

Imagine if Jokic wasn't "sloppy fat" guy , Morris would have been living in the wheel chair now . I don't think he was sloppy, that was precise hit, if he was sloppy he would have missed him or went for his head, and that would have been it for Morris career.

Believe it or not, I tend to agree, however at the time nobody knew that it would result in 30 games. And a cheap shot resulting in a hurt knee or shoulder or whatever could pretty easily net the same result but more often than not those plays don't get the offenders huge suspensions either.

These punishments are rarely completely objective or totally fair, and honestly, I suspect that in the backs of the minds of the NBA execs meting out Jokic's punishment, they kind of thought that Morris in part got what he deserved. The fact that Morris is getting zero sympathy from pretty much anyone from fans to players to media tells us a lot. The dude is a cretin.

The difference is that Morris initiated the entire incident.
