I think you guys read too much into not picking up a 10 day contract, simplest answer was there was never any intention of guaranteeing the contract for the rest of the season.

Bucks were on the road last month in New Orleans. After the game Boogie couldn't find his watch which he had in his locker. He went on a tirade, asking some players if they took it. Then accusing/questioning some staff, and then some Smoothie King staffers. Never found it.

Fast forward to the next day back in MKE, and the watch is in his locker. Instead of apologizing to everyone, he laughed it off and said 'I bet someone planted it here when we got back".

I don't think he was real popular with the other guys...

This regular season sucks.

With the new rules we'll likely have all of them.

I forgot it's been reduced from 10 days to 6
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Simply trying to use some humor to explain to you and a bunch of other guys on social media that Boogie being cut was not a result of him being a bad player (despite his defensive limitations), nor was he cut because the billionaires with a 'b' were cheap or needed the roster spot for Axel Toupane or whoever.

He was cut because he's Anthony Mason toxic in the lockerroom, and Vodoo above just shared with you one insider story to help confirm this. There comes a point in every business or organization where sometimes you have to let go a producing employee, if they can't get along with the boss or co-workers, and threaten the comity of the workplace.

Isn't that a problem though? In terms of "10 day contracts" we literally hit the jackpot. We found a guy who stepped into needed minutes (still needed) and produced much higher than the average guy in that spot would. If our owners were set from the start that the millions we would owe to that player wouldn't be paid even based on performance under the guise of "flexibility" (lol) then that's just another giant red flag to go with their countless others.

Obviously I have a soft spot for Boogie and want to see him stay but I'd literally make the same argument if they dumped Luke Kornet if he showed out as well. At the risk of being called obsessed again, Shooting has literally been preaching for months (before Boogie even) that this exact scenario was probably going to happen where the owners were going to pinch pennies on the end of the bench. Obviously he has his own biases so he's fine with this decision but I'd say it pretty much goes to show how even a message board poster can sniff out how cheap the owners would be.

If they want to tout the "flexibility" line then they better have something up their sleeves and I'll reserve full judgement until then but realistically the only flexibility it awards them is not paying someone who was contributing to the team. Maybe they fill his spot with a buyout guy and use Semi/Hood to pick up another/couple of other performers but I'd have a hard time believing we're seeing that spot filled with a better player because I assume at least one of those trash cans will still be on the roster come deadline.

It's cool man you want to believe what you want to believe, I'll believe what I want to in this scenario. We ain't always going to see eye to eye, especially in a spot where we literally have two extreme opposing biases. You've been searching for the fabled Anthony Mason 2.0 for years. Whether it be Zach Randolph tainting Bogut and Yi, Jimmy Butler corrupting the young Giannis or the dozen or so other times you've brought it up in between and you finally got a little morsel that you make into a meal.

Here's what my (obviously biased) brain sees. If the Bucks were walking on egg shells with Anthony Mason 2.0 they probably don't wait three games to cut him with Shams having the scoop with full Athletic paywall articles on how brilliant their maneuvering is ready minutes after the last game before his contract becomes guaranteed.

Wow, what a reference. I couldn't wait for Dom to be written off the show, such a massive swing and a miss for a show that was so solid for so long.

List of players that aren't here because if Giannis wanted them here, they'd be here: Boogie, PJ Tucker, Robin Lopez, Eric Beldsoe, Tony Snell, Malcolm Brogdon, Michael Carter-Williams.

List of players that are here because Giannis wants them: Thanasis

List of players that are here that weren't on Giannis' list that he was consulted on 2 years ago: Jrue

At a certain point, you guys are going to have to realize that Giannis doesn't really exert his will on roster building. You're going to have to reckon with the fact that sometimes it comes down to the whims of billionaires who want to save money on their hobby purchase.

*Note: Not all of these players should still be on the Bucks, but Giannis has a lot of "his dudes" who just kinda flat out suck at NBA basketball whom the organization has no problem moving on from. Yet they won't do it for his brother, who's the worst of all of them. Giannis is not LeBron with the influence he wields over roster selection.

I'm reminded of the Andy Bernard phone episode on The Office. Obviously, the response is definitely inappropriate, but stealing and hiding a dude's personal property is a pretty **** up way to mess with people. And that's kind of what this sounds like.

Yeah, this is similar but different to the Antonio Brown situation, you might be put in a tough circumstance, but you absolutely own how you respond to the situation. Whether a teammate hid it on him, whether he simply forgot it, or whatever, not smart to start making accusations against people, especially ones you have only known for a stretch.

Eh, I understand how it makes him seem petty, but I'd want to know what happened to my watch, too. It's not like he tortured someone for information. Kind of a stretch if this is the thing.

You’re minimizing the story Voodoo relayed. This isn’t a one-off. If more stories need to leak out to calm the populace, I’m assuming they will.

For me, both things can absolutely be true. I am hoping there is an intent to bring him back if he can't find a better deal, I feel like this was part of the arrangement with him.

That said, how he handles himself seems like it has been an issue dogging him throughout his career. Classic why not both scenario.

I'm just saying that if trying to find his watch is the problem, maybe we're looking too hard for a problem. Of course, you can do the most benign thing like a total **** and maybe that's what happened.

It sounds to me like he thought someone took his watch and someone DID take his watch.

I suspect that as well. It may not sounds like it, but I kind of like having him on the roster to give us some of that **** edge, as long as it doesn't mess with the larger chemistry of this team.
