What would Stevens realistically want in addition to Cam Payne for Marcus Smart? Think he fits in well on a playoff team-in case you guys don't make it. Plus he killed us that last game we played you. Just curious.

Payne, Smith and Cam Johnson

Gotta start with someone to take away Horford and Schroder

Ideally get back a cheap ass center and a starting pg,sg,sf or pf, preferably an SF

I would take Horford back at this point. Charlotte does need a Center pretty badly....

Hayward
BArnes
Hield
Bogdanovic
Gallo
Powell
Wiggins
Harris
Oubre
Barton
Hardaway Jr
Dort
Hart
Martin Jr
Gary HArris

All would be big improvements to the team

Horford and Juancho to Charlotte

SChroder and Bruno to Dallas

Hayward, Burke and WCS to Boston

Starters
Smart/Brown/Hayward/Tatum/Timelord
That will improve spacing as well as ball movement. Team knows each other already.

Bench
Pritchard or Burke
Richardson
Nesmith or Romeo
Grant
WCS or Freedom

team is 13 deep with flexibility off the bench.

Westbrook's player option is $47 mil. If he can only get vet min contracts for 2023-24 and 2024-25, he will make around $53 mil for those years and he would be playing essentially wherever he wants to. It would be malpractice if his agent advised him to opt out for a shot at a 3/$60 mil. deal in Detroit.

You think?

Celtics would have given Joe Johnson more minutes than Desmond Bane. Don't exactly know what the plan is in Boston. Draft guys, don't play and develop them and then just let them go in 3 years?

Who knows?

100% agree. Why I hate when people make a Nesmith to Bane comp.. One has great opportunity to learn and develop. while the other has almost none.

Bane = the real deal.
Nesmith = Who the hell knows.. thanks Boston (Ime!)

speaking of which, I really can't stand Ime. I dislike his rotations. I don't like his play calling out of TO's. His demeanor lacks confidence. he's not great with the media. idk. just seems like a career assistant coach. I really don't understand what Brad and the ownership group see in him. He's a clear downgrade to Stevens.

It stops the horford at PF experiment and it eliminates all the capspace horford eats up in the offseason.

Boston - Gets "Tall Rondo" who can distribute the ball properly and play All-NBA defense as well as a shooter who can actually shoot and a shot at a Potential Top 10ish pick (in the pick swap).

Philly - Finally gets rid of the Simmons headache and gains a young PG with All-Star potential and a solid all around vet in the process.

Kings - Get the best player in the deal who is one of the best young All-Star wings in the game and are able to pair with Haliburton and Mitchell.

I would rather BArnes and Fox.

Simmons needs the ball, and apparently Tatum is now our playmaker. So just a bad fit. Much much worse than Brown and Tatum as Simmons has no spacing.

Horford, Romeo and Bruno
for
Eric Gordon, Garuba and Theis

Smart/Pritchard
Gordon/Richardson
Brown/Nesmith
Tatum/Grant
Timelord/Theis

Move Schroder for draft capital

Thats an improvement

False because Bledsoe is under contract at over 18million next season. I'm not positive if there are options attached...so Boston ends up coming out in worse position cap wise with this deal...

Bledsoe's deal isn't fully guaranteed next year. What do you think of getting Kennard in return from LAC?

If Stevens elects (foolishly in my view) to retain Tatum and Brown, he needs to find a way to keep them off the court, to solidify the team's chances for a lotto pick.
