Not bad
For the Jokic trolls, he's not on the list while being second in CUR

Yup that post was the last straw for me. You guys have great riatraint Ave I think I'm going to take your advice lol.Sixersftw wrote:eyeatoma wrote:Stanford wrote:This Hussien Fatal guy needs to stop posting on the GB
I might have worn out my welcome too. I accidently brought up the race card (admittedly might not have been my finest moment, but Jokic fans are rabid, and cultish and every Embiid thread is full of them just stating the same damn thing over and over again).
They are going crazy there lol.
you shouldn't even try with Embiid threads there. The Jokic fan boys are going to always claim that passing is the greatest trait a big can have, completely ignore defense and rattle off some advanced stat forged in the heart of a dying dwarf star.
I like Jokic but his fans are absolutely toxic. There's a post claiming Embiid couldn't dribble the ball up the court lol.

Never went on that board before, but the comments here made me take a quick look. After a page and a half trashing Curry in the MVP thread, I think I've seen more than enough. Some really angry people that want everyone to know just how angry they are, and over a sport. Sheesh.

We support a team with Simmons on the roster…

Re: Joel: unchained.
Is Joel making another leap?
His season averages are masking it a bit with his slow start. But qualitatively, for the last 7-8 games, he doesn’t just look like he’s riding a hot shooting streak: he looks like the game has slowed down and he’s playing on a different level.
He’s catching the ball in position cleanly and comfortably (that’s half the battle with JoJo). He’s making fast, correct decisions to pass, attack with strength, or pull up and shoot. He’s making good reads on when to bring the ball upcourt himself. Honestly, on offense right now he looks like the best of Embiid mixed with 60% Jokic.
His defense hasn’t changed dramatically, but its still highly impactful.
He’s been a much more vocal leader: supporting teammates publicly, and calling them out when necessary (all without losing the Troel side)
Plus, he just looks 100% healthy right now.

Re: Joel: unchained.
We need to remember that he had insane numbers last season, almost 29 PPG on almost 64% TS combined with his defense. He already made the leap last season in terms of overall scoring I would say, what remains to improve IMO is passing, reading double teams and decision making in the clutch.
Besides, we need to stop fixating so much on RS numbers, I would say Embiid has looked a bit better in the clutch than previous years and has a better AST/TO ratio, this bodes better for PO performance, but without a proper guard we will still kinda suck of course.

Yes, this is what i’m saying he has significantly improved over this current stretch.

Agreed, Embiid putting up numbers is nothing new but if he starts consistently making good decisions in clutch situations I’ll consider that as a leap forward.
It feels like he’s starting to trust his teammates more now that Ben is out of the equation and if his improved decision making becomes normal then he’ll truly be a player capable of being the best player on a championship team.

Yes, hes making another leap, to me it's been clear all season. His shot was jusnt falling early in the season, but that was going to come back sooner or later.
Thats why i keep saying we cant waist his prime, its a real shame.
We need to get him an All Star guard now, and one good 3+D forward.

Couple of bad slips tonight. The floor on that end seem to cause a couple of players to slip. The flyers played last night. Surprise no condensation leftover?

Re: Joel: unchained.
What a special (albeit short) video this was. Reminded me of the ones where he was being compared side-by-side with Dream. I love seeing how obsessed he is with improving himself every season. It’s crazy that Joel Embiid’s absolute prime is essentially the amalgam of the very best parts of Hakeem Olajuwon and Dirk Nowitzki.

Re: Joel: unchained.
I think Marc Jackson said it last night, we're starting to see just how much that POS #25 stunted Joel's growth. Joel, like every other skill he has, is rapidly picking up and developing his passing vision and double team processing now that they doesn't have a ball hog PG who can't shoot and provided no other offensive use once the ball was out of his hands.

I think the front office needs to be careful and not dive into this overwhelming fan mindset of Joel's 2-3 year window. I think he's going to just evolve over time and remain a player you can build a contender out of into his mid 30s health permitting.
Embiid's window is a lot longer than most think.

???
Most here are saying his prime may be short due to health concerns. You say you don't agree, may have a long prime if his health is ok.
Makes sense........

Re: Joel: unchained.
I think there's a big segment of the fanbase that thinks he's going to lose athleticism in 3 years that's going to take him out of tier one. While I agree that the athleticism will continue to drop (as it has from earlier in his career) he will continue to re-invent himself like the great ones do.

He will be around longer than Simmons and Kyrgios, that's for sure.
