I love Tyler Herro and here's my 'unpopular' opinion: he's not an all-star. Not this season.

He's clearly not one of the absolute best in the league. I like his mentality though, and expect him to improve by increasing his efficiency, decision making, etc. Glad he's on our team.

Least efficient season of his career, usage WAY too high, average defender at best, team is terrible when he’s on the court (AirP has posted the numbers many times).

That being said I love him but he definitely shouldn’t be an all star, looking forward to seeing him improve as long as he’s on the team.

I hope we get a Dedmon update soon, he’s been gone for 2 weeks which was the time he was originally expected to miss.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

He was warming up in practice clothes in Heat's IG story. He could be playing tonight or soon.

I don’t think that’s an unpopular opinion. He’s not an All Star, yet.

He should be the front runner for 6MOY though. Outside of his recent shooting funk, he has been good this year. Advanced stats be damned, but he’s hit timely buckets are had stretches of carrying us offensively.

Need to remember he isn’t even 22 yet. He still has a lot of development to go.

I don't know Herro will ever be that efficient. just like 97% of scorers in this league, he needs volume and he is going to have a lot of bad shooting nights.

until he learns to get to the FT line consistently (not guaranteed by any means) you gotta take the good with the bad tbh

Phoenix is legit, so it'll be difficult to come away with a win given how many players the Heat are missing. In any case, I'll watch this one. Ive already prepared some burritos and tequila for this game. Let's go!

The way that he plays and attacks gaps just screams capability of drawing fouls. He just needs to learn how to do that on an NBA level. I think his handles and foul drawing will be the improvement we see next season.

Guys let's stop being a homer... I love Herro...but I don't think he should make all star this year, he is playing great, but not All-Star caliber great, for a 22 year old

Hope so King. He's FT attempts are slightly going up from 1.8 to 2.2 to 2.8 while FG attempts are going up higher from 11.5 to 12.9 to 18. You see him making nice moves to the basket and then he has a tendency to take low percentage fadeaways (though he's pretty good at converting those). Maybe he needs to get stronger as well, but I agree that he has tools to get to the line theoretically. And an excellent FT shooter, there is no reason for him not to work on that part of the game religiously.

Kyle can't have a bad shooting night and Tyler is gonna need to go for 30. Gonna need both to have a chance IMO.

Strus still starting over Duncan. Martin in with Jimmy still out. Interesting development.
