I've been talking about it for a while now. It's unfortunate.

Do you feel it’s the group of guys (Cole + Ross + Harris) which causes the problem? Just not enough ball to go around?

Because I have been worried about Cole specifically and his impact on Franz. In the end, it doesn’t matter who puts up the points so long as the team wins but there is more to it than that. I do worry about the overall team offense and how good it can be with Cole at the helm.

Well, I'm not a big fan of Cole so that an easy one for me. But, honestly, it's on the coach. I mentioned it earlier in the thread but there just isn't much structure to what we're doing on either end of the floor. And I don't want to hear about injuries or covid. Other than Gillespi (14 minutes) and Admiral (4 minutes), these were rotation guys playing tonight and they shot under 34% from the field with Cole running the show. As for Cole, call me a hater all you want but Cole isn't a winning starting PG unless you have a special roster with someone the likes of prime LeBron that can truly run the offense and cover up for some of the mistakes Cole makes on defense.

I don't mind losing, I just don't want to see Cole chucking 40' shots all game and dribbling a whole possession out. I think if it was up to Cole he'd rarely ever pass it.

Cole played a pretty nice, albeit a slightly inefficient, game for 3 quarters and then tried to take over the 4th but laid an egg.

We've seen him pull this off in the past, even when he hasn't nailed a game-winner.

Moving forward, if he really wants to make his mark late in games, it would be nice if he concentrated on assisting on big buckets rather than making them. Right now it's too predictable and therefore harder for him.

Franz should not be getting only 10 touches... He's earned more touches by stepping up....

I hope to God that Fultz regains his 3 and that Suggs lives up to the hype. We need a revamped backcourt rotation badly. Harris has really turned it around but I doubt he'll be back. We all know Ross likely isn't part of the future either.

I’m not worried about Franz’s streak because I’m sure he would’ve lost it soon anyway. We know what he can do, and it was way longer and more consistent than the “flashes” that most people want to see out of a rookie. We could put him in bubble wrap the rest of the season and try to see what Chuma, RJ, and Suggs can give us.

If Harden, Durant and Irving can share the ball, Harris, Franz and Cole can.

There's just a lack of talent on the team. When we're healthy, if ever, it will look better but still far away from playoffs.

I miss Franz getting points with smart cuts. I'm not sure if defences are more locked in on him now or if he's just gone away from it.

I didn't think he looked healthy tonight. He was clearly on a bit of a minutes restriction too. No idea why they played him.

Hope the pro-tank squad are happy. We still are lacking talent at the PG position despite having a deep rotation there.

Hope people realize that a rebuild is not always easy. This is the magic's first year of rebuilding and of course it is going to look like this. This is a process just hope it doesn't last long.

Of course we're happy. Going to get a nice pick this year to add to guys. I feel like we're the only team with a fanbase where quite a few people want to be perennial 10th seeds rather than bottom out. Read any other forum like the Celtics/Knicks/Pacers etc and you'll see them begging their team to trade all of their guys and go the Orlando route.

Not you but I can't believe people are writing essays or forming hard opinions on a team that has been by far the most injured team in the league and is missing Suggs, Fultz, Isaac. Not that we'd be amazing with them but it'll look better than having to play guys that would never sniff the floor if COVID didn't happen. We're going to consolidate on young guys this coming season I'm pretty sure because I don't think we want to add 3 more young guys in the next draft to an already super young roster.

The best rebuilds only last maybe two years because you get game changing guys in the draft. Hopefully it'll put us in the right direction.

I completely agree finding that superstar is key. It doesn't necessarily have to be through the draft but I think that is the easiest way to attain one.

It's kinda strange people would rather run it back for another avg to losing season with Evan, Vuc, and AG instead of rebuilding considering none of the guys listed are doing much for their respective teams.

They're solid players (Gordon playing his role for Denver, Vuc settling in now with a good role even though he struggled early) .. Evan seems to be the odd man out even though he will go off for random 20-40 point nights but do nothing for like 5 straight games.. but yeah as a team those are like 3rd-5th options.
