I wanna trade regular Jaylen for triple-double, has-court-sense-and-awareness Jaylen.

Rockets are ready to tank, they can be the one stop shop for the Celtics:

Option 1:

HOU: Horford, Hernangomez, Nesmith
BOS: Theis, Gordon, Augustin

Gordon and Augustin both provide solid outside shooting. Theis is nothing special, but can give you most of what Al does at a fraction of the price.

Houston shave off future salary from Theis/Gordon and get a look at Nesmith

Option 2:
HOU: Horford, Hernangomez, Nesmith, 2022 lotto protected first
BOS: Wood, Gordon, Augustin

Again C's get shooting in Gordon/Augustin, but now with the added benefit of a really interesting frontcourt partner for Timelord in Wood.

Houston cash in on Wood before he damages his value any more.

C's kick in their 2022 first, but remember we've got 2 draft and stash guys who seem relatively decent in Yam and Begarin. Outside of needing that pick for a massive trade for the likes of Beal, C's aren't in need of the pick as they will already have an influx of rookie talent. Plus if push came to shove Wood could still land a you a first if you traded him as an expiring (so you just lose Nesmith for the experiment).

If we're going to trade with Houston, make sure Christian Wood is going to the Celts.

Jaylen Brown checked out the Social scene in Sacramento and decided to start passing the ball.

Trade Schroder for something. It will force Ime to use his brain and play different guys...preferably ones that can shoot.

I'd be interested in just a fringe trade like Mike Muscala for a couple of 2nds or something. Maybe Nesmith or Romeo. Adding just one more veteran reliable shooter to this group, add PP and subtract Dennis and we'd have some good spacing.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

How many high awareness assists did Jaylen have? I noticed a lot of Marbury assists - hold onto the ball, drive the paint and make the simplest reads

And that's okay. Really that's all you want from Jaylen. Let Smart and Jayson make the high-level reads. Jaylen is here to finish plays.

Right, I mean, that's the bare minimum for a player with his scoring ability. Levels up the offense if he can do that most of the time, and any further improvement is a bonus.

You need him and Tatum to show and cement growth as playmakers, then to have some chemistry as a duo. It's possible, you don't want to give up on them too soon.

If there's a Jaylen offer you can't turn down, don't turn it down. Otherwise I just want Smart shipped out, and another point guard and another big in the pipeline. We need a Horford replacement and a Marcus replacement. Even Kyle Anderson or Nance at the 4 would be good. Romeo/Juancho for Nance? Schroeder for Coby White?

This times a million. All he needs to do is make the simple reads, and both the offense and Jaylen will benefit.

In the nicest way, defenses let Jaylen do his thing, don’t really send much defensive attention his way. USE THAT. When Tatum puts the ball down, he has 3 and even sometimes 4 dudes shadowing him. With Jaylen, they let him go 1 on 1 until the paint. So drive under control, and if they send a second guy near the rim, make the simple play and take advantage of there not being a wall of defenders waiting for you. Make defenses pay for not loading up on you. Most assume that means by looking for your own shot, but it’s also easier to set other guys up when driving the ball.

Schroder's not enough for Coby White. Can see the Bulls wanting a wing with size like Reddish. Hawks don't need Coby White though, since they have Trae Young. Might be a chance for a 3 way deal w/ ATL & CHI.

Smart makes a lot of sense for Atlanta, but Smart to ATL, Reddish to CHI, White to BOS isn't enough value for us. Would the Hawks give up Bogdanovic too?

White is a tough player to price, he's been hot lately but you don't know if it's for real, so he could get them someone like Reddish/Schroeder or he could help them get someone like Jerami Grant.

Four years in the league and Jaylen is just learning this?

Yep, would need at least a protected FRP from ATL or Jalen Johnson... Smart would really help them.

Also, I'd like for Stevens to get Ayo Dosunmu from Chicago. He may not have Nesmith's shooting touch, but he has some playmaking capability and is shooting 44% from 3 this year. Some of that % is probably due to Chicago being a really good passing and shooting team.

Unless there's a plan to make Smart a 6th man, Boston needs to move on from Smart.

Tatum to the Raptors for Dragic (expiring) and Scottie Barnes. I'll throw in Smart too, if they will add Van Vleet.
