It'll be interesting to see if Scottie Barnes continues to end up lost in the shuffle with all the offensive players back. The Raptors are in serious need of a Danny Green/Nic Batum type of player in the starting lineup to let their future superstar grow and bteing more balance to the lineup.

Even with pascal/og and Fred all having stretches of good play you have to find a way to be a Debbie downer. Who knows if he has superstar potential but we all know until some of the vets are traded there’s no use in whining. He’s not ready anyways as long as he’s putting in work in the gym he’ll get his opportunity maybe by next season,

LOL this has nothing to do with being a Debbie Downer as you put it. I'm enjoying the way this team is building assets and how well the player that could changes everything is developing. It's great that the Raptors have beaten some G League teams with players playing very well. There's nothing but positive with each individual having great stats. It's all win win for the Raptors. Before this season started I was actually one of the most positive about this team indicating they would easily make the playoffs as this team has too much talent. I even expected them to fight for one of the 4-6 range spots.

The way this team plays on offense is still suspect though, and that's why they need a bit of a change. It's very obvious to see that this team has too many shoot first players and not enough player who focus more on defense and playing a supporting role. There are stretches where they will play the style we are used to under Nurse in previous years, but you can see that they constantly need to be reminded after the half to play this way. They need players who play like that more naturally.

The great thing is, the team has accumulated enough talent that should be great value in trades.

I'd be shocked if he didn't. He's the best homegrown centre we've ever had, and was instrumental in turning this franchise into a perennial playoff team alongside Lowry and DD.

In terms of Centres that we've drafted, I'd put him second after Camby, I think. But that might just be nostalgia talking.

Tbh....JV would probably get even less playing time under Nurse.

He did under Nurse, but he was also used in a way where his usage went way up.

On top of that Nurse didn't develop him, the years of setting picks just to be PNR on the other end and barely getting any shots isn't....ideal. Something tells me Nurse would have played to his you know, actual strengths.

We also have Precious and Birch now so who are we to talk s*** about how he'd be used lol, dude will probably kill us because of his size and touch. We better not try having Pascal or Scottie trying to guard him from the start.
