Who are the players on rookie contracts available for trade?
Thinking specifically of young players who may be out of the rotation or in the wrong system. For the Raptors, Malachi Flynn has fallen out of the rotation and will be halfway through his rookie deal after this season.

Hard to say unless a team declines an option. Jalen Smith is a rare lotto pick who's 3rd year option was declined by Phoenix - and he's had some good games lately, so Phoenix may end up regretting it. Gotta figure he's not coming back.
Btw, I like Flynn's potential.

The Cavs are in no rush to move Okoro, especially at what seems to be his consensus value on this board.

Just watching the Knicks play basketball. He's going nowhere sitting besides Don Julio for two more years.

For Utah, probably all of them: Udoka Azubuike, Elijah Hughes, Jared Butler.
Not desperate to give away any of them, but they are among the few fungible assets we have for improvement.

Like wolves mentioned, what about Sexton? Doesn't seem like he's a good fit in Cleveland, and he's soon to be an RFA. Trading him to a rebuilding team that wants to re-sign him makes some sense.

I'd swap Precious and Malachi Flynn. Precious plays pretty consistently and has started a fair number of games. Malachi doesn't really play and is currently out of the rotation as Pascal is now the back-up PG.

Re: Who are the players on rookie contracts available for trade?
Are we talking real rookie contracts? years 1-2. Or guys on 3-4th year of rookie contract needing to get paid next season or potentially extended? Cause I wouldn't consider guys like Sexton on a rookie contract anymore since they need to pay him or even Cam Reddish who's extension eligible.

Re: Who are the players on rookie contracts available for trade?
Don’t think anyone on GS fits the bill. Poole is a big part of the rotation and Wiseman/Kuminga/Moody are probably only available in a superstar deal

Everyone seems to agree that he has little or no trade value, and if that's the case, I imagine the Cavs are going to see if they can sign him to deal at sixth man money.

Moses Brown but he's not the nexy Artis Gilmore and you shouldn't want him. Josh Green is finally showing something but Dallas would trade him. Probably looking to put him in a package and wouldn't trade him for a good 2nd which is probably his current value.

Do you really believe that the Magic front office would even consider trading Hampton? Rumor was that they insisted on Hampton from the Nuggets in the Gordon deal and our front office was trying to find a way to get a deal done with anybody but Hampton.

Since he's not a good fit there, I'd be very surprised if he re-signs there.

Well he's a RFA so unless some team backs up a truck, we can always match. Tbc, I'd prefer to sign and trade him if he wants to go, but it still has to make sense for the Cavs.
