Or, the alternative, is that coach just wont let him catch a rhythm at all.

And instead choses to play Schroder 30+ minutes per game.

Dennis schroder is better than Nesmith It's not even up for debate. I had high hopes for Nesmith after he played well for a stretch last season but he hasn't looked good the rest of the time.

Dude was a dead eye shooter in college and now he shooting 23% from three. People on here kill smart for his shooting but imagine if we had Nesmith who shooting 23% get minutes and shots?

Right now he's unplayable and there is the reason why he's playing with guys trying to make it in the NBA

Yes, Schroder is better right now.

But Nesmith is far more crucial to the Celtics future than Schroder. That is not even up for debate.

Just last season, February on, When Nesmith had a consistent role he shot 40% from 3
36% in summer league on 7 attempts per game
50% in preaseason

History shows us that with a consistant role, and with consistant minutes, Nesmith is a very capable shooter on high volume.

Season
10 minutes average
3 attempts average

Ime **** him

Now Aaron rushed everything and forces it when he is on the court, just begging for the opportunity to play.

He did play well for a stretch last year like but as of right now that looks like an anomaly. Me personally I don't take much stock when someone plays well in pre season or in the summer league.

If Nesmith is rushing and forcing his shots then that's on him. He has to produce when giving minutes and he's simply not doing that. I've seen nothing that indicates he should be getting More playing time

This team needs shooters badly and that's literally the only thing they need him to do is hit shots and he can't even do that right now.

I think they want Nesmith obviously to be a crucial part of the future but it remains to be seen if the guy can stay in the NBA.

Nesmith performing well in Maine is better than him not, but... ehh. Tremont Waters was G League MVP and that dude can barely break into the NBA. Hopefully this at least builds some confidence for him.

Nesmith needs to stay with the team, not in Maine where his value will diminish even more. Play him or trade him.

Again with this??? I already made a post about Kris Middleton shooting 26% with Detroit who waived him early on his career. The Bucks signed him and the rest is history. There are more. NO ONE can become a good shooter, NONE, until they get comfortable. What Ime is doing with Nesmith is like writing a handbook on how to destroy a player's game.

Brodric, Kornet and Hauser are all playing well.

Brodric Thomas has been playing as the Starting PG.
So, I guess he can play PG.

If Hauser had really good handles and play making ability, he would be like Hayward, with better shooting. His shot is so smooth.

Hauser going for a Double-Double.
5-11, from 3.

Tacko Fall is playing for Cleveland.

Yes!!! -- He got a Block in there, too. And only made 1 foul. (60% from 3)

Hauser is an outstanding C&S 3 point shooter. Maine has 27 assisted baskets today. That was with a large number of turnovers from sloppy passes. Boston had 20 assisted baskets against Philly. Hard for Hauser to be effective if the team doesn’t pass the ball.

Maine leads the G league in assisted baskets at 32 assists a game. Boston is 24th at 22.6 a game.

The style of the two teams couldn’t be more different.

Yeah one team shares the ball, moves without it and knocks down outside shots. The other does not
Hopefully this is closer to the kind of team the front office wants to build.

I know we didn't get the best version of Hayward in Boston so it's easy to sell him short but he was a legit all star (in the West no less when it was bloodbath). It's more than just a little ball handling and playmaking that separates the two. And that's ok, Hauser doesn't need to become mid 2010s Hayward to be a positive contributor for the Celtics even if I would love it if he did. Hayward was such a fun (and good) player back then. Hayward even now, but especially before his injury, is/was a vastly superior athlete. Super underrated in that respect. He used to dunk over guys fairly regularly:

Hayward was also a pretty solid defender at the NBA level. I remember he repeatly held his ground in the post against prime Griffin during their playoff series for instance. I don't think Hauser will ever get there. But I agree about his release, I could watch him shoot all day.

A sad reminder that Hayward never regained his Utah form after the injury.
