Magic Sign Jeff Weltman, John Hammond To Extensions Through 25-26

The Orlando Magic have signed Jeff Weltman and John Hammond to extensions through the 25-26 season.

Alex Martins engaged his front office in talks beginning with the end of last season, and recently finalized terms on the new deals.

The Magic moved into a rebuild last season. Ownership has been pleased with the gathering of young first-round picks (Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs, Cole Anthony), young players (Wendell Carter Jr.) and draft assets (six first-round picks over the next four years).

The Magic advanced to the playoffs in 2019 and 2020.

these poorly run organizations should be forced to sell. It's a blight on the sport. But they serve their purpose as farm systems for the other teams so I suppose nothing will change.
