I hope he has been a bit inspired by the "let it fly" offense we've had while watching on the bench. I don't even care if he's not super efficient, just get some shots up without hesitation and in the flow of the offense. We need that from him.

Bro……Bam is literally a 24 year old all star who is arguably the best defender in the league and hasn’t even scratched the surface of how dominant he will be offensively in the near future. Yurts ceiling is much lower.

But I agree he could be a very good fit next to Bam for our future, both need to work on their 3 point shooting and become at least league average shooters. Both can do it

In my opinion Yurt has the tools to be the better player. Yurt as a rookie has already better footwork than Bam down in the post, and he will only get better.

Are you saying Yurt has the potential to be a better center than Bam? Ok I can see that. If you think he can be a better overall player tho, you gotta clarify your position. Bam is definitely a better fit at PF than Yurt for example, a point I don’t even think you would dispute. Nor do I think you can dispute Bam has more talent than Yurt as an overall player. If you disagree with what I’m saying tho, let’s hear it.

Lol well of course you need to evaluate each player at their respective positions, in this case at the center position. As overall talent, we still have not seen the full potential of Yurt, and to be honest i am very worried about Bam's inability to have a post game.

Some of yall need to calm down - now he's more talented then Bam? has a higher ceiling?

Bam is a legit Max player, a defensive player of the year candidate that also give you an efficient 20 PPG. Put down the pipe, Omer is never getting to that level. he's 23 YO and still has a lot of work to do to become an average C on both sides of the ball.

I do think he has a very nice skillset with a natural rebounding knack and a soft touch - but let's see him look competent on D and score at above 50%FG before we declare him Bam's replacement lol

I do not think the idea is crazy at all, I mean he is not looking bad at all as a rookie, probably better than Bam when he came into the league. We are talking about potential here based on what he has shown up until now, he definitely can be a better offensive, defensive, and rebounding player than Bam, maybe he will never get there, but he definitely has the potential. As Bam being a legit Max player, maybe in today's NBA he is. But that is another discussion for another post.

He just won't. He's very big on spacing and maximizing driving lanes for Jimmy, he won't be playing Bam and Yurt together until one of them proves to be a legit confident shooter.

Then we will start losing games again due to lack of Size and rebounding, like is the norm for this team.

I agree with this. I don’t think he’ll do it.

We were an elite rebounding team with Bam starting at C

i have not looked at the stats, dont like them, i rather evaluate from what i see on the court. It did not look to me we were elite at rebounding, but you might be correct. What i can see is we are a better rebounding team with Yurt at the center position.

And we have 3 games left against the Nets, 2 against the Bulls. 1st seed is still doable

Honestly Nets probably want to fall to 5 or 6 depending on the matchup because that means they’ll get Kyrie for 4 games a series if needed.

just looked it up we are in 17th place in the league. Dont know if that count as elite, but we are not the worse either.

I’m talking with Bam. Everyone is acting like we’re some great rebounding team because Bam is out and Yurt is grabbing a lot of rebounds when we were rebounding even better with Bam based on us being 17th now

I am sorry but according to you who is acting like we are a great rebounding team because Bam is out? If you replace Bam with Yurt (rebounding wise) and the rest of the team continues with their average rebounding, we will be a better rebounding team due to the fact Yurt grabs more rebounds than Bam, if Yurt continues to start, we might jump up in the rebounding ladder.

I’ve seen multiple people say we need to play big with a am and Yurt or else we’ll get bullied and out rebounded.

We’re currently 6th in rebound rate which should be valued over RPG. We’re an elite rebounding team whether we go big or not

7th best offensive rebounding team, 6th best defensive rebounding team, 4th best overall rebounding.

We’re bottom 3 in pace so the RPG aren’t going to be high.

I am one of those people who thinks we definitely should go Big, sick and tired to watch them being abused down low.
As for your second sentence, well lets agree to disagree. Appreciate your input.

Do you think Bam is a better rebounder than Yurt? Do you think we will fair better with Bam playing center over Yurt? this is an honest question.

We went to the finals with Bam playing Center.

Correct, and then got eliminated by the Bucks in an embarrasing fashion the next. But that was not my question.
Do you think we have a chance to fair better with Yurt at center?
