Game 44: Warriors at Bucks - 1/13/22 - 6:30 - TNT

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Wed Jan 12, 2022 6:39 pm

This is one everyone had circled. We potentially could have Jrue, Hill, and Grayson back but I've seen nothing official that Grayson and Hill are out of protocols or an update on Jrue's ankle. Green is out. Klay played 19 minutes in each of his 2 games so he's still limited.

Warriors lost their last game at Memphis but Memphis is playing a whole lot better than we are. After this we have

Toronto
at Atlanta
Memphis
Chicago

Time to win some games.

Go Bucks.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

These next 5 games will be pretty big for Giannis' MVP case. Just win, baby.

Yeah both from a head to head and record standpoint. He has the stats. If he beats Curry HTH like he did with Durant last week, he only needs the Bucks to finish top 3 record wise at that point to win it IMO.

If Giannis wins another MVP, it would be really hard to leave him off the top 20 all-time list even if his counting stats aren't there yet. Pretty amazing leap for a guy who was probably borderline Top 75 2 seasons ago.

Didn't he win MVP 2 seasons ago? And 3 seasons ago?

Sounds like no Jrue or George Hill again. Still lacking players who can dribble good.

I'd guess Toronto or Atlanta depending on the day Hill entered protocols.

Feels weird to not have even the slightest interest in a game against what could be the best team in the league.

Hill entered protocols last Wednesday 1/5. Allen entered on Tuesday the 4th. With Allen out of protocols today Hill could be out tomorrow but it sounds like he won't be. Allen had no symptoms, maybe Hill does.

It's Jrue I'd love back tomorrow.

Regardless I'm looking forward to it. Yeah the regular season is mucked up but this could be a fun game.

Jrue's ankle injury issues sucks man. Wonder if Kerr gets imaginative with Draymond still out and has GP2 annoy Giannis for as long as he can. Or he could put him on Middleton and force a million turnovers.

He did. And he did. Before last season realgm player comparison had him like 73rd all time. I would've had him higher due to peak but based on their analysis, I thought it was fair the guys ahead of him. Add in a ring/FMVP and counting stats with a 3rd MVP he is in some extremely rare air. It's all pointless ego stroking, but kind of cool to objectively say Giannis had a Top 20 career already when comparing accomplishments rather just personal preference.

Must win. 120-104 would be a nice score.

Seems like there are certain games we get up for as a team to show we are reigning champs. This would be one of those games.

Is Greg Monroe still on a 10 day? We should sign him and give them some PTSD to remind them of the time when we ended their 27 game streak.

Warriors are at Chicago Friday night. I don't know if they'll play Klay B2B but if not I wonder which one he sits.

I was thinking of making some comments here about our Hornets game strategy based on stats. But I ended up writing it just now in the pg of that game. May have some bearing on a drawback of our strategy.

Life without a PG.... Sad.

But I'll still watch.
