He’s the oldest, most injury prone, inconsistent shooter, even more inconsistent at the rim. Khris was better and more important during the run and has a game more compatible and complementary with Giannis. The Khris/Giannis pick and roll literally saved our season.

Jrue is on a great run right now but I’m choosing Khris over him any day idc how lazy khris is playing. Ideally you would upgrade both in the near future.

You're trying to win a championship though. Jrue has been lights out this season.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

He's shooting 38.2% from 3 on 4.8 attempts per game and 70.9% from the FT line. That's hardly ''lights out'' in my book.

Middleton is having a bad season by his standards, yet he's still shooting 37.7% from 3 on 6.2 attempts per game and 88.4% from the FT line.

Middleton is hands down the better shooter. Not to mention, he's a better shot creator in the clutch. I would argue he's the perfect fit next to Giannis.

You’re right about that, I don’t think we should trade any of the core this season. I don’t think it’s the time for that yet. I was just saying when it comes to it, I’m choosing Khris over Jrue.

Jrue is having a great season so far and I’m banking on some of that carrying over into the postseason.

Trading Middleton opens the door for Giannis to think about leaving unless you are bringing back Curry or Durant.

Step back from the trade machine

Gotta stop with the hyperbolic Giannis leaving stuff.

(Title withstanding and they're clearly close but I still don't think Middleton and Giannis' on court chemistry is anything special).

Idk. If I’m the Bucks I never rest easy assuming Giannis is staying forever.

"'One challenge was to bring a championship here and we did,' he told me. 'It was very hard, but we did. Very, very hard. I just love challenges. What’s the next challenge? The next challenge might not be here.' It’s not that he doesn’t love Milwaukee, he said. But he was always wary of things becoming too easy. 'Me and my family chose to stay in this city that we all love and has taken care of us—for now,' Giannis said. 'In two years, that might change. I’m being totally honest with you. I’m always honest. I love this city. I love this community. I want to help as much as possible.'

You don't think their on-court chemistry is anything special? Middleton stretches the floor for Giannis. He can put the ball on the floor and create his own shot. He can create shots for his teammates. He's a terrific option in the clutch. We rely on him against teams which are walling the paint. He's happy to play on or off the ball. He can even run the PnR with Giannis as a 6'7'' ball handler! What more would you want? He's literally the perfect fit next to Giannis!

Even if we find the right deal, you'll never convince Giannis to sign off on trading Midds. It would take something bad for that to happen. Giannis and Thanasis have both said, multiple times, they think of Midds like a brother.

Yeah, I think Giannis leaving is more of a real think that others on this board. But its speculation either way: You could say he is leaving if you trade Midds, or you can say he's leaving if Midds decline and we plateaued with no cap room. Or he is leaving for a million other reasons. I've talked to a few people close to the organization and they all thought Giannis was gone. Maybe they were wrong. Maybe they were right but it lined up Giannis changed his mind. We really don't know. All you can do is do your best to put the best team together while we have him under contract.

Never said anything about fit. I just think their two man game can at times (specifically in crunch time) look like they've never played with each other. You'd think playing together for so long knowing where to pass/put the ball would come more instinctively to them.

I'm still pissed about letting Boogie walk. Honestly, I'd have let half the guys on team walk before him. Are they trying to tell us that they couldn't get the same financial flexibility by letting some of these others go? I'd say he was probably the 4th or 5th most important player to the offense. And even though he sucked defensively, he could rebound well enough.

This team won a championship, if Brook comes back before the playoffs we will have a clearly better roster than last year.

It is not right to trade any of the core guys, Brook, Jrue, Middleton, Giannis won, they should have the opportunity to try again

Was just going to post a similar thought. Like man, these dudes just helped win us a **** ship 6 months ago. Unless Jrue or Midds explicitly ask to be gone they've earned the right to try for a repeat.

If things were catastrophically bad then maybe you look at shaking things up. That's obviously not the case.

The Kornet era was fun while it lasted
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I actually think we should trade Middleton or Jrue at some point (maybe both)... it just has to happen in an offseason where we didn't win the championship.
still learning the game

If we lose to the Nets this year, I'd trade either Middleton or Jrue straight up for Haliburton.

I didn’t realize you could send down a 10-day player to the G-league (re: downtin) lol.

Yeah that kind of seems to oppose the rationale of a hardship contract, right?

I think we are still about 2 more years away from that conversation. Not sure any dynasty in the history of sports has ever been started by trading your core guys the season following the 1st championship.

I believe a move needs made and that the corpse of Brook and the waste of guys like DDV/Hood/Semi need moved for whatever type of upgrade we can get. But, the ppl in the “trade Middleton and Jrue” camp need a to take a Xanax and chill out imho. I’d imagine Khris and Jrue have more value to Milwaukee than the rest of the league. Sans a legit superstar like Beal or Dame, anyone thinking trading Khris or Jrue for anything Sacramento has on their roster needs to stop playing 2K and/or stop playing in so many fantasy NBA leagues.

I like this trade if the salaries can match and also if a 2nd round pick is enough extra incentive but if we are dealing with Sacto..

Brook, DDV, Semi, 2RP for Harkless, Metu and Bagley.

Kings were willing to swap DDV with Bogi before and I believe Bogi is better than anyone the Kings would be sending us now. I think that move makes us better moving forward but again, not sure how it looks legitimately as a real trade….
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis
