Yurtz had a rough start to the game, but he really started turning it up in the 2nd half. Dedmon held it down until the team passed Yurtz some bath salt.

It's sad he only grabbed 10reb, but the 1st half wasn't his best, and Herro and Caleb decided that they were gonna feast on the glass, as well.

Big ups to Herro, Caleb, and Yurtz on their double doubles.

* Herro: 21pts/9reb/11ast/2blk/+18
* Caleb: 18pts/10reb/+17
* Gabe: 14ts/4 3PTMs/2stl
* Yurtz: 13pts/10reb/6ast/1blk/+19
* Lowry: 8pts/6reb/5ast/3stl
* Dedmon: 6pts/8reb/2blk

If I had to guess: probably to soften the blow on Duncan for bringing him off the bench.

I know it may seem crazy, but Spo didn't even make the switch until halfway through the season, even though Strus/Herro/Caleb had all earned a shot at the starting SG spot by mid-November. The fact that it took this long leads me to believe that Spo was worried about how Duncan would react to it. FWIW, I didn't think Duncan would have a problem with it, but when a guy is getting paid that much, I guess you don't wanna kill his trade value.

I dont know if there is a stat to track this....

but we get another game were Martin has disrupted the other team's point guard.

Curry, CP and now Trey have been impacted by Martin picking them up at half court or better.

Bam-PJ-Jimmy-Martin-Lowery is going to be hell raising on defense. I think the first few games of the season might not have been as flukey as i originally though.

Hope we can return the favor and bury them in the standings.

Heat looked good tonight but so did the Nets in their last game. This is going to be a bloodbath!

Go with Wiltseven. It's time to retire the "side."

I was wondering when was the last time we lost the rebounding battle since Yurtz started because I couldn't recall a time we got beaten badly on the glass.

Here's what I found

Spoiler:

TL;DR:

* We're 6-2 on the rebounding battle since he started.
* We won the two games that we lost on the glass.
* When we've lost the rebounding battle, it was by an average of -4rpg
* When we've won the rebounding battle, it was by an average of 11.5rpg
* We're averaging 7.6 more RPG than the other team since Yurtz started (not sure how that compares with him as a backup or not playing)
* The +7.6rpg diff would put us at #1 in the league by 2.2rpg. A small sample size, admittedly, but still noteworthy, nonetheless.

OP, what a job. I think if you beat them down like that again, they'll be heading back to St. Louis. That was the best mixture of ugly and beautiful.

Image Let's see what happened to your favorite players in the past Wilts

Michael Beasley: Future perennial All Star -> China League MVP

Hassan Whiteside: Max player -> A backup center

Justsise Winslow: Draft Steal -> An often injured journey man
