Always loved his game, consistency has always been his problem. Hopefully being next to RJ during his emergence will rub off on Reddish. Either way Killa Cam is in the building. Depending on the protection on the pick and any details not emerging that's being reported I like this trade for us.

Essentially the Knicks traded the 19th pick in the 2021 NBA draft for 1.5 years of rookie control Cam Reddish and his RFA bird rights.

NY gets a year and a half of Reddish in their system to determine if he's worth a long term investment. Worst case scenario you missed on the 19th pick in the 2021 draft. Best case scenario, Reddish develops into a versatile 3 and D wing.

Solid risk/reward IMO.

Oh wow did not expect this to happen. This is a really nice swing for the fences deal. Reddish has had a lot of ups and downs and shown inconsistency but he's really flashed some really nice potential as a 2-way wing. Still very young and I like pairing him back with RJ

I don't like it. He's a dumb player. And this must mean Obi/Grimes in jeopardy and probably not Randle. Meh.

Still could be a going young strategy but I doubt it. Seems like it's beefing up bench for a trade of Grimes who I really like.

It’s a great deal for what we gave up. That hornets pick is complete trash. Cam may or may not be a future star but you can’t deny his talent. If he ever figures out how to be consistent, watch out

Jesus, that would’ve been terrible. Grimes is worth more than one of our FRPs. He has already shown the potential to be one of the ten best players in his draft.

So good on this FO for saying no and still making a deal. That’s a good sign

I think they will keep Grimes and trade Burks. If that happens, then we’re possibly in a youth movement after all

it's always possible they play him a power forward over obi. maybe he's on his way out for something else.
