I get Cam is inconsistent and all that. But he’s still really young and his shot is finally starting to get consistent. Just feel like many teams should’ve been willing to give up this kind of return to take a chance on him.
I think most teams don't have enough roster spots and minutes to develop a young player. The league is pretty stacked with talent these days.

Do you see a lot of Hawks fans celebrating getting Kevin Knox?

I'm usually not a big believer in the "this is a move for a future move" theories, but it could be with this one considering how much talk there is in the Hawks being a serious contender for Simmons. Could be that the Sixers weren't fans of Reddish and value cap space and picks more if they move Simmons to Atlanta. This trade would fit that bill to get the Hawks where they may need to be to pull of a Simmons deal (especially if they need to take Harris as well).
That could be something. I’d think Reddish has more value than that lottery protected FRP, but I guess salary has to also be considered. Was hoping the Bulls could’ve pulled off this trade for Reddish with the POR lottery protected FRP.
Yeah, if the reports are accurate, the Sixers last option to get a Top 30 guy might be through FA (Harden), in which case they need a ton of cap space. Reddish doesn't help with that and he's not such a high-end prospect that he would be a great catch in Philly's mind for what their current goals are.
But we'll see. Most likely this deal just is what it is and not a precursor to something else.

Oladipo bombed in ORL, took his 3rd team to figure it out and be something in the league. Sabonis took his 2nd team. Not saying Reddish becomes an all star but it's a decent gamble all things considered by NYK.

Sign and trade makes more sense than getting under the cap, the Nets if forced would trade Harden for Simmons. I feel this move has no connection to the 76ers.

I was so wrong on Knox...I really liked his game coming out of college and thought he was going to be a better pro.
