How was reddish's value that low? We still get another season to give him run and he's an RFA. I would've been pissed if Grimes went in the deal. Grimes is always ready to shoot, plays hard and is decent defensively for a rookie. That hornets pick was weak to begin with so i'm glad we're not holding on to it. Getting some value for knox after such a blown pick is nice too. Great move by leon.

Not sure I necessarily agree that giving up a pick for Reddish is a good idea but whatever. Knox has not shown enough to keep him as much as there is still some tantalizing talent there.

There has to be a follow up trade though right. We are adding a guy into the rotation without sending out a rotational player. The rotation is tight already. Unless we just are swapping Grimes minutes for Reddish which doesn't really make us better.

That's a good point. Not necessarily about the posters but that the Knicks have positioned themselves to take advantage of buy-low situations by maintaining young talent + picks and keeping their cap relatively low.

I wouldn't worry too much about minutes. This isn't the final form. Right now we're trading lesser assets for better ones by identifying places of need for opposing teams. As I keep saying, we just put Atlanta under the lux tax with this move. They wouldn't have done it otherwise.

My guess is we continue to consolidate and you can't worry too much if that takes two months or two years. Gotta pounce on the right moves. But my gut says we will move sooner rather than later with this move.
