From what I read the Hawks’ asking price for Cam is a first round pick. Would offer them the Hornets’ protected pick and the contract of Knox lol.

The highest I’d go is an Obi swap. In part because Obi deserves better and I think this could entice the Hawks as it would give them a possible replacement for the disgruntled John Collins.

If RJ and Cam are reunited I’d be hoping for a tweet from a “jealous” Zion just for the buzz it would generate alone.

To me this looks like either Evan is being shopped and RJ moving to the 2 or the Knicks are only moving non-essential personnel.

Even if Cam doesn't get a lot of regular season minutes this year, you can bet Grimes and Cam are going to get significant minutes in the playoffs due to their defensive capabilities alone.

Or the front office lacks vision and just made the trade because he's Barrett's friend and the trade in a vacuum looked like a good deal.

So where do they find minutes for him because Knox wasn't getting many? And what happens to Grimes minutes the few he was getting?

As soon as they trade Randle I'll know they are a serious about doing it right this time.

You're right. But to be honest, if Cam's a better contributor in practice it's a plus. Cam automatically becomes one of the best defenders on the team and Thibs will find him time. For whom, IDK.

This move has multiple storylines so it is very intriguing. This is not a Mudiay or Herzonja 2nd draft move, but a legit possibility they landed a bona fide young talent.

I have to think a Zion deal is in the works now. This is all about moving in their chips on RJ.

The more I think about this move today the more I think they are looking to move Randle. They still have weeks to go, but they're setting up for more trades or even a blockbuster move.

No matter what, this was a helluva move. I like it because it's not the tired old journeyman move, but a kid who could blow up or at least become a very solid 3&D wing defender for us.
