Wooow, kinda surprised something happened this soon. The Knicks added some of what they need as far as player type/position but it remains to be seen if that translates into players who perform and contribute to the team success.

I have to wonder why the Hawks soured on Cam, I know they have Hunter and Johnson in the same mold of player so maybe they decided to trade the least, in their mind, of them. Let's hope the Knicks coaching staff can squeeze a better player out of all that talent, he's got decent two way skills.

Sometimes a change of scenery can change the mindset of a person, it can serve as a wake up call or impetus to change behavior or something like that. Not that Atlanta was necessarily a bad situation but there are times when people get too comfortable with circumstances and a change forced on them can create a domino effect in themselves.

Haven't had a chance to dig into the this already sizable thread yet so I'm preparing myself for the fansanity of the forum that comes with anything that happens with the Knicks. :lol:

The more I think about this move today the more I think they are looking to move Randle. They still have weeks to go, but they're setting up for more trades or even a blockbuster move.

No matter what, this was a helluva move. I like it because it's not the tired old journeyman move, but a kid who could blow up or at least become a very solid 3&D wing defender for us.

Couple thoughts:

1) Alec Burks is Thibs’ favorite. Hard to imagine him out of the rotation, but easy to imagine the FO trading him against Thibs’ wishes.

2) Reddish is playing for a contract now, which the Knicks will have no hesitation enabling him to secure. He reminds me of THJ and Randle before their first big Knick contract. If he shows flashes over 1/2 or even 1/4 season, I’d bet on the Knicks extending him for a big contract as the starter of the future.

I wouldn't be completely shocked. Knox is all mental, kids got all the tools to be good, we never let him run the PnR like we did in Summer league where he looked great.

I don't think Knox will pan out cause he seems not to have a killer instinct AT ALL, but maybe this will be a wake up call for him.

I’m not sure if it’s a guarantee at this point. If he was on the Knicks and 370lbs and injured his entire rookie deal I imagine we’d be less than enthused about giving him 200M. But he’s not here we didn’t have to suffer so we can be more optimistic about it.

Yeah I don't thinks it's about leaving New Orleans. Pure speculation and they've been quite specific in stating that his injury is not healing. Usually specific like that is not a lie. Him leaving for Portland is about his trainer I think.

We all assumed KD wanted to come. And LeBron. They might have. Zion did come right out and say it though pretty much. But it's a different situation - he has a lot to prove.
