We can be on the pursuit for Grant. We could still be willing to give Evan + Obi + pick to get Grant as well. I fear they demanding IQ in the deal.
PG (Burks for now)/Rose
RJ/IQ (Grimes)
Grant/Cam
Randle/Luka
Mitch/Noel

Basically his wings just stand in the corner and just watch Trae play PnR with Capela and John Collins. Everybody else gets the scraps. The games without Trae you saw Cam handle the ball ALOT more and play PnR with The bigs. That allowed him to play down hill and score inside. For posters to come here and say Cam sucks blah blah is kinda ridiculous. The kid hasn’t gotten a real opportunity to show his skill set out on the floor. As well as make mistakes and the coach allowing him to play.
On the Knicks who is the Trae Young equivalent ?

Fournier / Cam
Randle / OBI

Grant used to play in Denver as SF (next to Milsap and Jokic).
Our FO and coaching staff like tall wings. Morris played as SF.

He is mad inconsistent as a shooter so I ain’t even gonna call him a real stretch 5. He is not efficient scoring inside. Yes, he is a great shot blocker but defending in space is a mixed bag.
Considering the cost, I’m good on Turner. He ain’t la schmooove.
Initially I wrote centers but switched it to bigs for that reason. That said, plenty of power forwards average more than 7 boards a game, and Mitch has averaged more while primarily being a bench player. Bad example.
That said, other bigs averaging less doesn’t make me feel better about Turner.
Facts.
I don't trust bigs who average 7 rebounds a game. Gives me Bargnani flashbacks...
Um..Bargnani wasn’t even a 5. In his time he was a 4 because even tho he was tall, he played zero defense. Myles Turner has been the best shot blocker in the league for years now. He averages 7 rebounds because on possessions he is positioned at the three point line for spacing. Mitchell averages 8 rebounds and is always around the rim.

Just checked RAPM which is +/- but regularized to account for other players you play with and your opponents (that way bench guys won't be overrated, and starters won't be overrated - this is an overly simplified explanation). Cam Reddish is literally 581 out of 586. Terrence Ross is the only non rookie rated lower than him.
Give the guy a chance here. He's only 22 and has flashed great potential.
The Knicks traded a net negative(Knox), and potentially the 20th pick(which is a huge unknown), while retaining their own, higher pick.
Let's at least be patient and see what he does for the rest of the year with the Knicks.
If you look at plus minus, RJ is one of the worst Knicks. I looked at plus minus to justify Obi starting over Randle and I was completely wrong.
