Apparently McNair told Carmichael Dave rebuilding is not in the cards..
at this point I think its because this ownership is too poor to afford a team, and they cant afford the multi year bad ticket sales

I agree.
The Bogdan deal was bush league. We can blame whoever leaked it, but it sounds like Bogdan wasn't even on board.
"Almost" trading Hield to the Lakers doesn't count as a good move.
The 2nd for Davis was something I liked, but realistically if he cant get minutes it doesn't matter.
Woodard/Ramsey cant get off the bench.
Mitchell seems like a meh pick.
Giving up a 2nd for Delon seemed like a good move for our team, was totally fine with him being a backup guard for us this year. Then he trades Delon to Boston for Tristan who they badly wanted to trade away. We got zero assets in that deal.
His only real success so far has been Hali, now that counts for something but how much?

Agree with everything you said but would like to add about the last part as good as the Haliburton pick was it was an immensely easy pick for us that even we couldn't screw that up.

Re: The TRADE Thread 2021
Update : The 76ers are trying to trade both Simmons & Harris . Their logic is they are going to make a play for Harden for next season . The only way they have a chance to do that is freeing up cap space . So they are trying to get pieces tht will help them with this season & for the futire but also have re trading assets that would be easier to move of needs be .
If we trade with the 76ers there are 2 scenerios that are most lkely that fall in line with the above . They may not be exact but would be close to as mentioned .
# 1 ) Simmons & Harris to sac =s roughly 69 mill for Buddy , Harrisson , Bagley , T.T. ( last 2 are or can be expirings ) + 1 future 1st round pick
#2 ) Same 2 from Philly to us and they get Fox , Buddy & Bagley
Keep also in mind with the understanding that Simmons & Harris contracts are longer for most of the players they would be getting and they save well over 100 million in future cap space in any deal .
3rd scenerio will be some what simular to what you see above & a 3rd team is involved such as Atlanta etc.

Re: The TRADE Thread 2021
Talking to one of the Warriors fans in a thread.
He suggested Wiseman + Moody for Metu + Holmes.
Obviously I'm a huge Holmes guy and it would break my heart to see him go. But I think sending him near by to compete for a title would be a nice gesture. Kings would have 2 really nice under 21 guys to add to the core. Wisemans injury is a bit scary, but I think he projects to be a decent player if he can stay healthy, Moody would be a nice add to the core.
Chicago is probably even more desperate to make a move now that DJJ is missing time. Still like Williams + Salary for Barnes.
Then move Buddy for an expiring contract. Tristan/Len/Harkless/Bagley for 2nds if possible. Soft tank this year (Monte said long term rebuild not in the books, but this is more of a retool)
Imagine next year
Wiseman/Queta
Williams
Moody
Fox/Davis
Hali/Mitchell
+ A crap ton of cap space and a top 7 pick. Id certainly be a lot more optimistic about watching this team run every night than what we are currently doing.

Your not sincere. No need to B.S. me or fake apologize You and Pizzaguy have been troublemakers for years . Hard to believe this site continues to allow this . You and Pizzaguy are on the Celtic board talking more trash .
By the way I am a grown man not some chilidish kid as you guys say & can hod my own . Not saying as any threat just so you know I am not a little kid .
I have posted trades in the past & some have happened though few . Anyone with basketball sense I.Q. knows that by far the majority of all trades do not happen they fall through . That does not make me wrong or a liar etc.
I am way to busy hense why I barely post . I only post as I have time & info to be given . I do get alot of Info on the Kings and other teams no different than your boy Keith Smith as an example . Though I get far less info on other teams .
I do not understand why you or pizzaguy are Here for drama it is childish . If you think I am a liar , full of b.s. or whatever I do not care . Your opinions of me mean nothing to me ! You think your calling me out seriously ? You cannot prove I am wrong or a liar and besides why not just ignore me and move on . By having talking private and on boards about me or anyone else means your just starting drama .
Anyways I tried to explain the logic of the deals and I understand in terms of player value you or someone can say the 76ers would not be getting enough back . You do not seem to understand thar saving a 100 + million dollars and freeing up cap space to go after a James Harden etc. has a lot of value . If you do not understand that you will never understand the concept to trades as to the why's , the motives etc.
I am not here for the drama . How about You and Pizzaguy just ignore me and stop posting about me or others . All it does is shows immaturity , that your here for drama , your instigators and you do not have much of a life .
In closing I have read many posts from both of you over the years that were ridiculous but I hadn't responded . I left you both alone . Have your parents never taught you if you have nothing nice to say don't say nothing at all ????
I am going to be wrong on alot of deals as they are rumors and fall through . That said I will be right as well and will be right less than I am wrong .

You "start" drama in a constant low-level hum by spamming nonsense. It's annoying, I wrote one sentence complaining. Your ten paragraphs of anti-drama are great. Moving on.

Re: The TRADE Thread 2021
Anywho, moving on.
I posted some of this on another thread.
I think the next two weeks is going to be crucial for the Kings.
With PG13 injury and Dame's injury you could see LAC and Portland drop out quite easily and the Kings and Pelicans move up.
The Kings definitely will be making moves to compete, are 0.5 game behind the Blazers for 12th and 4.5 behind LAC.
They play Houston twice and Detroit in the next 3 games before a really touch stretch.
The Clippers have a tough schedule for the remainder of the season, as do the Lakers and TWolves.
Even looking at the last 10 games of the season, the SOS is .482 and that is with two games against the Suns, a Warriors game and one versus the Heat.
So I think we need to look at what trades are going to help make a push to the play in.
I see two ways -
We need an upgrade to the 4 spot, using Bagley/Thompson/Buddy
Getting Simmons/Harris with Barnes/Buddy/Bagley/Thompson/22 1st/24 1st (the 1sts would go to a 3rd team.
So what I am proposing is this if the 6ers don't get what they want.
Sac In: Simmons, Harris, Joe, Smith Jr
Sac Out: Barnes, Mitchell, Buddy, Bagley, Thompson, 22 1st, 24 top 5 protected 1st
This is the swing for the fences move. Still a lot of problems with the roster
Phi In: Barnes, CJ, Mitchell, Thompson
Phi Out: Simmons, Harris, Joe
Makes a run this year with better fitting pieces and gets off Harris' deal. Barnes can easily be dealt if they want to go after Harden.
Port In: Buddy, Bagley, 22 Sac 1st, 24 Sac 1st top 5 protected
Port Out: CJ, Smith Jr
Helps with the tank. Get two picks, potentially lottery picks. Saves 30m over the next two years as well. Would the Blazers be able to get a better 2022 pick from elsewhere? Or two better picks? I'm not sure. Buddy gets to shoot as much as he wants and that should lead to him being moveable next season with a 2/38 deal.
Kings Roster:
Fox/Smith Jr
Hali/Davis/Joe
Simmons/Harkless
Harris/Metu
Holmes/Len/Jones

In terms of the upcoming schedule, I learned to never look ahead for Sac.
They lose to depleted ATL/Port teams, then come out and beat Lebron. It just makes zero sense. They could go 0-3, then play over .500 during the tough stretch.
Id hate giving 2 1sts, Barnes, Mitchell and still having to eat Harris. That is an awfully lot for Simmons. Maybe its for the best?

Yeah very true on the schedule. I should know better by now.
It is a lot to give up. I'm trying to see where Monte's thinking would be. It seems with any sort of information that has come out, he values the top guys on the roster a lot, including Barnes. If we weren't including picks though, which could be what has been happening prior, a deal would be done by now as I would only think Monte wants Simmons ASAP.
I am now on the wagon of if Monte wants to add Simmons, he needs to keep Fox and Hali on the team. Shooting be damned!
Let's see what they can do with some D pressure and get out and run.

I totally agree with that last part. Shooting is obviously huge in the NBA, but bad players who can shoot < good players who cant. Obviously Giannis is amazing, but look at Milwaukee just won without really much shooting at all, Lakers as well the year before.
Either work on getting a team that fits around Fox/Hali, or make a move to improve the talent level. Something needs to be done.

Obviously you would like a mix of shooting. But we need talent in the worst way

I think these trades illustrate one of the basic problems with trading with the Sixers (for Simmons): the guys you have to gift up to match salaries (Barnes, Hield) are the guys you'd need most around Simmons to space the floor.
The second problem is that you can't expect the Kings to have massive roster turnover and mesh before the end of the season.

I totally agree with that and it's the main reason I think it's a real gamble with the picks.
I'm not even sure we could sign or trade anyone that would give more shooting. The hard thing is while it would be great to find a way to keep Buddy in this, it would seem his time in Sac is up and will be traded regardless.

Re: The TRADE Thread 2021
Im not sure what they can do to win now given Hali/Fox are untradeable IMO for different reasons. Hali because hes looking like a foundational piece, Fox because his value is in the ground
Philly by leaking stuff like this
may be trying to invite a third party to take Fox, but I'm not sure one would and give Philly sufficient value
Its going to be our non Hali/Fox roster and picks, and I'm not sure that gets in the discussion for Simmons, let alone Brown/Sabonis
Maybe, maybe draft capital and Barnes and taking Harris gets to Simmons. Maybe. And because of the Kings being on his list you give that up. But it would still require a third team with win now talent to give Philadelphia and where is that? Possibly Beal? Very few teams have those pieces and actually want to rebuild on the landscape
So they will likely be trading vets and picks for the caliber of players as Jerami Grant or even Porzingis. Maybe Siakam. Depressing names to give up future for a normal franchise
I'm very curious how this gets done
