So, if Wiggins ends up 3d in votes will he be a starter in West?
Or does it depend to media and coaches about the starters too?

lets be honest wiggins is having a good year but he is no allstar.
i rather him not making the team which makes us harder to retain him.

Looks like with the current voting rules, fan votes only account for 50% of the weight on who gets to start.

Wiggins will still lose. For one I don’t think many non-fan would vote for Wiggins ahead of Draymond.

Wiggins 8th most popular player in all star votes between all NBA players.

Even if the fan votes count 50% he has to be over Towns, Gobert, Ayton
He has more than double votes from them.
Even if he gets no votes at all from Media and Players he will be over them.

I prefer that Curry and Draymond be pretend "injurred" and get some rest.

But that doesn’t matter. If he’s not selected as a starter, which he won’t be, then it’s 100% up to coaches/media if he’s a reserve over those guys, and I don’t think any non-fan picks him over KAT or Gobert (maybe some would take him
Over Ayton).

Yes, especially if it is up to the media I think he has no chance to be selected as a reserve.
So, I agree he has to be selected as a starter if he wants to be there
