My belief as well, which is why I think a Plumlee + second (maybe two) for Ibaka seems like a good deal for both sides. Clips get to have a contract for ballast for next year, while Charlotte erases Plumlee next year and gets an upgrade this
are the Clippers really looking for more expendable salary for next year? Seems to me they can already pretty easily match up to a max contract if they wanted to between a combo of Bledsoe/Morris/Kennard/Jackson.
Don't get me wrong though, I'd trade Plumlee and a 2nd for Ibaka in a heartbeat
Yeah, I'm not sure I see the Clippers doing that.
But if they do, you'd certainly have better filler in a possible Turner type trade, or really, most any other bigger deal in Ibaka's expiring than Plumlee's multi-year. You'd have to combine it into a 3 way deal for aggregation reasons, but it'd help.
