Hubie brown
This dude is 88 years old and still calling games. Amazing how sharp he still is for his age. Always love hearing him do games. One of the few guys who can truly understand the entire nba and understand the context of every era. hes doing memphis dallas if anyone wants to hear, not sure how many more chances we will get.

Re: Hubie brown
He just said 'You can see the current Grizzlies lineup besides Morant runs a lot less quick than the first unit.'
Hilarious considering Konchar, Adams, and Slo-Mo himself were out on the floor with Ja. Keepin' it real, Hubie.

Yo I heard the same thing, I was like jeez Hubie with the slight shade but kept it professional.
I personally love Hubie calling games, he loves the role players and I’m hoping we get a few more years of him calling games but I’ll enjoy his commentary for as long as I can.

Goat. Knowledgeable, provides great Intel. Doesn't show a lot of emotion but does at some great plays.

Ok, so you're down 17 with 49 seconds left, plenty of time.

Lets be real here. Time has passed Hubie good 10 years ago but he is very endearing.

I appreciate that he’s been around and done a lot for the game but I don’t like his game calling. I find it boring, repetitive, often wrong. I don’t want to be “that guy” because he seems like a genuinely nice person but I just can’t get around it.

Hubie’s a treasure. I love when he calls games. I feel smarter because of it. Dude’s forgotten more knowledge than most will ever have.

He’s amazing. Just great basketball info. No takes. Not trying to force a catchphrase or blip. Just teaching why they did whatever they choose and how it worked.

He's a marvel, plain and simple. I've always loved him as an announcer, not only because he's insightful and passionate about the game, but also because he's so big-hearted. He really loves all the players, finds positive things to say about their games, without overselling. He's a fan of them all. May he announce forever.

Re: Hubie brown
People who complain about Hubie im just wondering what they're expecting from commentators? Do you guys want them to break down every play. Do background checks on various players during the game?
Well Konchar was actually part of a Cult named Kifflom and what they would do is sacrifice basketballs to the kifflom god in order to produce the ultimate Kifflom basketball player. And then Konchar was born.
**** like that maybe?

“The other day I saw one of his games. He was running with the ball at a hundred per cent full speed, I don’t know how many touches he took, maybe five or six, but the ball was glued to his foot. It’s practically impossible.”

hubie's great commentator and drops dimes of knowledge. some people complain he states the obvious but he's there to educate viewers of all levels. plus hubie's neutral and concise style works well with pretty much anyone next to him in the booth.
