NBA had to stop this type of stuff. It would only escalate, and someone would take it too far eventually.

I don't think it's a great from an entertainment standpoint either. I don't want to hear random sound bites after every other play. I'm there for the professional basketball game, not the DJ.

yeah, you can call me a grumpy old man (Im sure most of you will) but to me this kind of stuff just shows the overall decline of the nba. Professionalism is becoming an endangered creature. Trolling has become pervasive in all aspects of the game, and more and more it is becoming the primary method for communication, whether its in the national media, local broadcasts, arenas, or the players themselves. The NBA is essentially becoming an extension of NBA Twitter instead of NBA Twitter being an extension of the NBA.

Russ's attitude to the media and attention seeking in general could suggest that he has brought this on himself. But you are right, there may be a line being crossed here

If you see him as just an entertainer like a WWE wrestler no problem, he is certainly a very well compensated entertainer, which is why old players past their best hang on as long as they can I guess.

As someone who argued extensively on here that Durant was right to look for a PG who suited him better than Westbrook I am sad to see it come to this when I consider what an athletic marvel and star player prime Westbrook was. I guess there are others like him though, and such players unfortunately for the Lakers seem to have a tendency to gravitate to the Lakers. Carmelo and Dwight were once also iconic players.
