We’ll look back and see how this franchise was ruined by Ben Simmons. The scam of his upside and his charmee persona

Early hot take but Charlie Brown Jr should be a rotation player in this team and get around 15 minutes a game.

Wow, I missed the game last night, but this is one I'll watch today. I looked at this season as a transitional one, but looking at the East, there's no reason we can't at least be in the mix to get to the ECF, and then who knows? But this is dependent on finding some help for Embiid, as Doc absolutely must get him some days off or he'll be shot well before playoff time.

It's a shame because there really aren't any unbeatable teams this year, and Joel Embiid can break basketball on any given night.

Agreed, Morey has to see it at this point. I'd take the risk of going for Fox, you can always pivot and trade him in the summer in a package for Harden if they want to go that route.

Not to pour cold water on a good win thread, but the only reason we were in a position to let Embiid take us home today was because Butler and Lowry missed almost every single good look they had, and cuz their shooters were cold. Embiid has been ridiculous but the rest of the team still isn't up to par with the supporting casts in MIL, BKN, PHX, etc, and we can't pretend that we didn't see the last couple years of playoff basketball just cuz Embiid is wowing us now. The name of the game still needs to be finding a real creator who also doesn't kill our defense and athleticism (which is already rough these days).

It's just flat foolish to rewrite season scripts based on games in which their star goes 1-11, their second guy goes 2-11, and their excellent supporting shooting crew hits just 25% of their 3s.

I tend to agree with you, primarily because it appears that the only way we can compete is by overusing Embiid, which doesn't bode well considering what condition he will be in come the playoffs. The East is not nearly as strong as it seemed it would be due to Boston and Atlanta falling off, but teams like MIL and BRK will be different animals come playoff time if healthy.

Yep. We have a cake schedule coming up. Could conceivably win the next 15 games in a row.

Plus CHI falling back to earth, Cupcake out for 4-6 weeks. etc.

Good win by the 76ers, They never game up got played some good defense and gutted out a win. Does anyone have that clip of the heat backing off of BS in the paint and him refusing to shoot from last season. Somehow when I think about playing Miami that sequence always comes to mind.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.
