Looks like there's a lot of smart people in this room.

Simple question because I'm stupid, why did crypto dip after the fed indicated faster rate hikes? I get why tech stocks slid but didn't with crypto.

When asked why PR has no capital gains taxes, the Republican governor tried to push trickledown nevernomics.

It’s 2022 & the GOP still pushes this defunct policy. Unreal.

Crypto is heavily correlated to tech stocks. Also crypto tends to be dumped first before tech stocks by institutions.

I feel like NFT is muddying up the crypto scene. Its also crazy how many companies are willing to adopt NFTs already but never did with crypto.

I worry NFT will be the future instead of crypto which is absolutely should not be. NFT is so beyond stupid.

I think NFTs add to the flair for crypto and it is definitely more interesting than trading stocks

It is just adding to the gamification of finance and the whole retail trading boom

You think it will ever stop being like that?

I'm not really bullish on tech because of valuations. So I kinda hate how Bitcoin and Crypto in general follows tech and the NASDAQ

I think eventually Bitcoin will stop being correlated with everything but alts will always have loose connection with NASDAQ

Everything follows tech, even the non tech sectors. Whenever production or efficiency increases is either directly or indirectly involves that company's tech upgrade. Even something benign like HR payroll automation.

Tech is industry.

Can anyone here explain crypto to me in one 10-15 line paragraph comprised of layman's terms?

just dont trust anyone that lumps bitcoin in with "crypto". Two very different things. One solves money and the others promises random **** to incentivize you to buy their tokens.

that is all.

Thanks Jose. So then what is “bitcoin” and what does “solving money” mean?

ETH is a security papi. Ginsler has even considered this since his MIT blockchain teaching days. Eth will move to eth 2.0 as a POS model away from proof of work where it becomes even more centralized. Eth also has a pre mine.
